22 Colleen M. Blye. Executive Vice President and CFO of Montefiore Health System (Bronx, N.Y.). Ms. Blye oversees the financial strategy, reporting, investments and revenue cycle for Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine as CFO. She has prior ex- perience as executive vice president and CFO of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, a six-hospital health system, and executive vice president for finance and integrated services at Catholic Health Initiatives. Her career has afforded her a background in third party con- tracting, payroll and information technology in addition to financial planning and strategy. Robert Broermann. Senior Vice President and CFO of Sentara Healthcare (Norfolk, Va.). Mr. Broermann became executive vice presi- dent and CFO of Sentara Healthcare in 2001 aer spending time as CFO of Tidewater Health Care, which merged with Sentara in 1998. He now oversees financial staff at 12 Sentara oper- ating divisions in addition to the centralized fi- nance teams. In addition to his responsibilities at Sentara, Mr. Broermann is chairman of the board for the United Way of South Hampton Roads and treasurer of Virginia Beach Educa- tion Foundation. Mike Browder. Executive Vice President and CFO of RCCH HealthCare Partners (Brent- wood, Tenn.). Mr. Browder is executive vice president and CFO of RCCH HealthCare Part- ners, a position he took in 2011 aer spending four years as CEO of Essent Healthcare. Mr. Browder also has experience as senior vice pres- ident and CFO of TMC Health Care in Tucson and was vice president of operations finance for Health Management Associates. In addition to his role with RCCH HealthCare Partners, Mr. Browder is on the board of directors of the Fed- eration of American Hospitals. Daniel Cancelmi. Executive Vice President and CFO of Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Mr. Cancelmi is responsible for Tenet Healthcare's finance, accounting and investor relations, as well as finance-related functions. He oversees the financial operations for the health system's 65 hospitals, 23 surgical hospitals and 475 out- patient centers. e health system oversees 10 million patient encounters annually. Dan Carpenter. Senior Vice President and CFO of UnityPoint Health (West Des Moines, Iowa). Mr. Carpenter became senior vice presi- dent and CFO of UnityPoint Health in 2017 af- ter spending time as CFO of UnityPoint Health – Dubuque (Iowa) at Finley Hospital. He gained experience creating an analytics and business development team while at Finley, which was implemented at two other system hospitals. He is a member of the Healthcare Finance Man- agement Association and American College of Healthcare Executives. Paul Castillo. CFO of Michigan Medicine (Ann Arbor). Mr. Catillo is responsible for Michigan Medicine's integrated financial oper- ations. He oversees the financial management of University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers as well as the medical school and clinical services of the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Mr. Castillow also oversees the entity that allows Michigan Medicine to enter into partnerships and has previous experience as the CFO and vice president of finance at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside. He has experience im- plementing health information system changes, negotiating major contracts and physician re- cruitment and retention. Steve Chen. Vice President of Finance and CFO of Adventist Health Bakersfield (Calif.). Mr. Chen spent time as CFO of Mercy Hospital and vice president of Executive Health Resourc- es, a physician advisor company in Denver be- fore becoming CFO of Adventist Health Bakers- field. In his current role, he oversees financial operations for the 254 bed hospital. Michael Coggin. Executive Vice President and CFO of LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.). Mr. Coggin is executive vice president and CFO for LifePoint Health, a role he took on aer serv- ing as senior vice president and chief accounting officer for the health system. He has overseen the health system's external financial reporting, corporate accounting and consolidation func- tions as well as tax function and internal control compliance. During his career, Mr. Coggin has also spent time as CFO of Specialty Care Ser- vices Group and was in financial leadership of the Renal Care Group. Mike Connors. Senior Vice President of Fi- nance and CFO of Cape Cod Healthcare (Hyannis, Mass.). Mr. Connors joined Cape Cod Healthcare in March 2009 aer spending time as senior vice president and CFO of Sig- nature Healthcare. In his role, Mr. Connors is responsible for the 450-physician organization's financial strategy. CCHC has two acute care hos- pitals as well as home care and hospice services, an assisted living facility and skilled nursing, and rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Ac- countants. Carol Crews. Senior Vice President and CFO of Tanner Health System (Carrollton, Ga.). Ms. Crews is the senior vice president and CFO of Tanner Health System, an organization she joined in 1991 as a staff accountant. Over the years, Ms. Crews has spent time as a controller and vice president of finance before she became responsible for all business related activity for the system. Ms. Crews has experience in bud- gets, audits, accounting, payroll and patient fi- nancial services. Michele Cusack. Senior Vice President and CFO of Northwell Health (New Hyde Park, N.Y.). Ms. Cusack has more than 20 years of experience as a senior healthcare executive. She manages Northwell's day-to-day finance oper- ations as CFO and oversees financial reporting and planning, budgeting, treasury and internal audits. Ms. Cusack has previous experience as deputy CFO and spent time developing finan- cial sophistication for population health man- agement and risk-based contracts. Dennis Dahlen. CFO of Mayo Clinic (Roch- ester, Minn.). Mr. Dahlen spent time as se- nior vice president and CFO of Phoenix-based Banner Health before becoming CFO of Mayo Clinic in 2017. In his role, Mr. Dahlen oversees financial operations for the health system, which includes 4,729 physicians and scientists as well as 58,405 administrative and allied health staff. He previously spent time as senior vice president of finance for a faith-based health system. Peter DeAngelis Jr. Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Of- ficer of Jefferson Health (Philadelphia). Mr. DeAngelis Jr. became executive vice president and CFO of Jefferson Health and omas Jef- ferson University in March 2016, and has since been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer for the health system. In this role, Mr. DeAngelis works with the finance committee of the board of trust- ees and sets a continuous improvement culture for growth. Mr. DeAngelis previously spent time as a partner of IMA Consulting and exec- utive vice president, CFO and COO of Catholic Health East. Robert DeMichiei. Executive Vice President and CFO of UPMC (Pittsburgh). Mr. DeM- ichiei is executive vice president and CFO of UPMC. He is responsible for the financial strat- egy and operations across the system's 40 hos- pitals and 700 physician offices. Mr. DeMichiei has prior experience in executive vice president roles with GE. He also served as a manager of financial, global business development and inte- gration for GE Energy and CFO of GE Trans- portation Systems' Global Service Operations. Andrew DeVoe. CFO of TriHealth (Cincin- nati). Mr. DeVoe joined TriHealth in July 2016 with more than 25 years in finance leadership and executive management. In his role as CFO, Mr. DeVoe is responsible for planning, organiz- ing and directing financial management for the health system. He has experience with financial planning, budgeting, accounting systems and patient financial services in addition to reim- bursement and managed care contracting.
