26 Edward Prunchunas. Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles). Mr. Prunchunas oversees Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's financial plan- ning, capital planning and risk management as the executive vice president of finance and CFO. He joined the hospital in 1981 as director of bud- get and reimbursement. In 2015 he was promot- ed to executive vice president before taking on his current role. Mr. Prunchunas is a past pres- ident of the Healthcare Financial Management Association Southern California chapter. Michael Reney. Senior Vice President for Finance and CFO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston). Mr. Reney was CFO of Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital before joining Dana-Farber in 2015. He also has experience as assistant controller of Massachu- setts General Hospital and has held several posi- tions with Partners HealthCare, both in Boston. In addition to his role at Dana-Farber, Mr. Reney is on the board of the Fenway Community Health Center in Boston and Medical Academic and Scientific Community Organization. Craig Richmond. Executive Vice Presi- dent and CFO of e MetroHealth System (Cleveland). Mr. Richmond provides system- wide leadership and strategic direction for e MetroHealth System's financial operations. His responsibilities include overseeing the revenue cycle, accounting, managed care, reimburse- ment and treasury departments. Prior to join- ing MetroHealth in 2010 as the vice president of revenue cycle, he spent more than 20 years with academic medical centers and community healthcare providers. He took on his current role in January 2018. Dan Rieber. CFO of UCHealth (Aurora, Colo.). As CFO of UCHealth, Mr. Rieber over- sees the health system's $4.5 billion operating revenue. He took on his current role in 2018, aer joining the organization in 2007 as direc- tor of finance and controller of the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora in 2007. Mr. Rieber is now responsible for the financial operations of the health system's 10 hospitals, 150 clinics and workforce of 22,000 individuals. Chuck Robb. Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO of St. Luke's Health System (Kansas City, Mo.). Mr. Robb joined St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., in 1991 and spent time in several finance positions before becoming CFO of the health system in 1999. In that role, Mr. Robb oversees financial operations for the health system's 16 hospitals and campuses as well as dozens of physician practices and a life care senior living community. Kevin Roberts. Executive Vice President and CFO of Geisinger (Danville, Pa.). Mr. Roberts joined Geisinger in April 2018 as executive vice president and CFO, responsible for all financial activities in the health system. He most recently served as senior vice president and CFO of St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare. His background is in business development, corporate finance, health plans, mergers and acquisitions and fi- nancial operations. Richard Rothberger. Corporate Executive Vice President and CFO of Scripps (San Di- ego). Since 2001, Mr. Rothberger has overseen Scripps' corporate finance, treasury, capital planning, payer contracting, supply chain and real estate operations as corporate executive vice president and CFO. Under his leadership, Scripps made a $120 million financial turn- around, including building a balance sheet by more than $2 million and achieving an AA cat- egory credit rating. Before joining Scripps, Mr. Rothberger was senior vice president and CFO of Mercy Healthcare Sacramento (Calif.). William Rutherford. Executive Vice Presi- dent and CFO of HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.). Mr. Rutherford is executive vice presi- dent and CFO of HCA Healthcare, a role he took on in 2011. He now manages the health system's treasury department, government programs and investor relations. During his 30-year career, he spent nine years as CFO of the health system's Eastern Group, where he was responsible for 90 hospitals and $12 billion of net revenue. Randolph Safady. Executive Vice President and CFO of Christus Health (Irving, Texas). Mr. Safady delivers strategic guidance and lead- ership on the financial health of Christus Health. He joined the organization in June 2011 as ex- ecutive vice president and CFO, also serves as board chair. Mr. Safady's goal is to ensure the health system meets the demands of the future by leading revenue cycle, managed care, internal audit, supply chain and reimbursement, among other areas. Mr. Safady has previous experience as executive vice president and CFO of Centen- nial, Colo.-based Centura Health. Cheryl Sadro. Executive Vice President and Chief Business and Finance Officer of e University of Texas Medical Branch (Gal- veston). Ms. Sadro supports e University of Texas Medical Branch's finances, including busi- ness operations, human resources, information services and revenue cycle. She has spent more than 30 years in the financial industry and spent three years working on corporate level teams at Catholic Health Initiatives. She has led through mergers and acquisitions and set national payer strategy. Donald Scanlon. Chief of Corporate Services and CFO of Mount Sinai Health System (New York City). Mr. Scanlon is an integral member of the team that develops strategy and direction for Mount Sinai Health System. He joined the organization in 2003 as executive vice president and CFO with an expertise in revenue cycle management, asset management and financial administration. During his tenure, he has over- seen a turnaround of the hospital that resulted in a positive net income and achievement of an A category rating. He also completed a $370 million financing round for the system's Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Lance Sewell. CFO of South Lake Hospital (Clermont, Fla.). Mr. Sewell became CFO of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in 2007 aer spending a year as the hospital's director of finance. He is the hospital's information system financial liaison and oversees accounting, health information management, patient business and materials management. In addition to his work with South Lake, he serves as community chair of the Community Foundation of South Lake. Henry Seybold. Senior Vice President and CFO of North Kansas City (Mo.) Hospital. North Kansas City Hospital named Mr. Seybold senior vice president and CFO in June 2018, re- sponsible for the hospital's financial planning, revenue cycle and supply chain. He has more than 25 years of healthcare financial manage- ment experience, including time as the senior vice president and CFO of Reno, Nev.-based Re- nown Health System. He gained experience with health information management, revenue cycle and retail services in that role. Roger Sharma. Executive Vice President and CFO of Citrus Valley Health Partners (Co- vina, Calif.). Mr. Sharma joined Citrus Valley Health Partners in 2018 aer spending 25 years in various healthcare leadership roles. As ex- ecutive vice president and CFO, Mr. Sharma is responsible for financial planning, management and reporting. He also serves on the investment committee among other boards. Richard Silveria. CFO of University of Chica- go Medicine. Mr. Silveria became the executive vice president and CFO of the University of Chi- cago Medical Center in July 2017, overseeing fi- nances for the health system's community health and hospitals division. He previously spent time as senior vice president and CFO of Boston Medical Center. His background also includes 12 years as corporate director of revenue finance at Partners HealthCare in Boston. Daniel Smith. Vice President of Finance and CFO of e Johns Hopkins Hospital (Balti- more). Mr. Smith joined Johns Hopkins as a healthcare consultant in the 1980s, officially be- coming a staff member in 1983. He spent time on the hospital's management team transition- ing Baltimore City Hospital into Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He also gained experi- ence as senior director of finance at Johns Hop- kins Bayview and CFO of Johns Hopkins Home Care Group before becoming its president and CEO. During his tenure, he developed a pri- vate-duty nursing and home support service
