Anthony "Tony" Speranzo. Executive Vice President and CFO of Ascension (St. Louis). Mr. Speranzo joined Ascension Health in 2002 aer spending time as managing director at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray. He now leads the health system's financial operations, including treasury, debt management, investments and mergers and acquisitions. Ascension is a nonprofit health sys- tem with 151 hospitals and more than 2,600 sites of care. Bernadette Spong. CFO of Orlando (Fla.) Health. Ms. Spong has responsibility over Or- lando Health's financial operations, supply chain, information services, revenue management and asset strategy as CFO. She joined the organiza- tion in 2015 and since then Orlando Health's bond rating from Moody's has improved. She also brought financial transparency to the health system and taught healthcare finance classes to nurse leaders and clinicians. J. Dean Swindle. President of Enterprise Busi- ness Lines and CFO of Catholic Health Initia- tives (Englewood, Colo.). Since joining Cath- olic Health Initiatives in 2010, Mr. Swindle has overseen financial strategy, revenue cycle, payer strategy, treasury services and clinical engineer- ing. Previously, he served as dean of Novant Health System in Winston-Salem, S.C.. He spent 11 years growing the system's annual revenue from $800 million to $3.5 billion. J. Britton Tabor. Senior Vice President and CFO of Erlanger Health System (Chattanoo- ga, Tenn.). Mr. Tabor has spent more than 31 years with Erlanger Health System and is now responsible for its financial operations. He over- sees the financial functions for the seven-hos- pital health system. Mr. Tabor is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Vincent Tammaro. Executive Vice President of Financial and Corporate Services and CFO of Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health. Mr. Tam- maro became director of finance and reporting in 2002 before being promoted to executive vice president of corporate finance and CFO. Ms. Testman has more than 20 years of leadership experience and worked with the system to invest in strategic physician acquisi- tionand an EMR buildout. omas Todorow. Executive Vice President and CFO of Children's Hospital of Philadel- phia. Mr. Todorow spent time as vice president of finance and CFO for Wellesley, Mass.-based Harvard Pilgrim Health Care before joining e Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He has ex- perience overseeing finance, accounts payable, payroll, treasury and management care con- tracting as well as supply chain and investments. He has also been involved in healthcare start-up ventures and was vice president in JP Morgan's healthcare investment banking group. Michael Tretina. Senior Vice President and CFO of Bayhealth (Dover, Del.). Mr. Tretina oversees the financial operations of Bayhealth, a health system that includes more than 400 phy- sicians and 3,700 employees. He also sits on the hospital's board of managers and serves as trea- surer. Mr. Tretina joined Bayhealth in 2013 aer spending time as CFO of Mary Greeley Medi- cal Center in Ames, Iowa. Under his leadership, Bayhealth reported a bond upgrade as well as cash flows and operating margins above indus- try average. Doug Vanderslice. Executive Vice President of Finance, Real Estate and IT and CFO of Boston Children's Hospital. Mr. Vanderslice oversees Boston Children's Hospital's financial operations, budget and managed care contract- ing. He also has responsibilities for revenue cy- cle, IT and real estate functions. He joined the hospital in 2013 aer spending time as vice pres- ident and CFO of St. Louis Children's Hospital. Jeff Wakefield. CFO of Marion (Ind.) General Hospital. Mr. Wakefield spent time in for-profit and nonprofit hospitals before joining Marion General Hospital, where he serves as CFO. Mar- ion General Hospital is a 99-bed acute care hos- pital that includes 1,300 employees and around 74 active medical staff members and practi- tioners. He has more than 16 years of experience in healthcare finance, and has been responsible for capital planning, cost reporting, contract management and revenue cycle. Ken Wheat. Senior Vice President and CFO of Eisenhower Medical Center (Rancho Mirage, Calif.). Mr. Wheat became senior vice president and CFO of Eisenhower Medical Center in 2013 aer spending time as vice president of opera- tions for Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's Texas region. In his current role, Mr. Wheat oversees financial operations of the hospital. Eisenhow- er Health launched a campaign in 2017 to raise money for advancing specialty care within the system, and raised $200 million. John Widdel. CFO of Managed Care for Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Mr. Widdel became CFO of managed care for Tenet Healthcare in 2013. He is responsible for budgeting and managing the health system's $18.3 billion in revenue. He has been part of Tenet's managed care finance team since 2001 and oversees the financial op- erations for the system's 65 hospitals and 23 sur- gical hospitals. It also has 475 outpatient centers and around 110,000 employees. Kris Zimmer. CFO of SSM Health (St. Louis). Mr. Zimmer has more than 32 years of expe- rience in senior level healthcare management roles. He oversees the health system's financial services, long-term positioning, regulatory re- porting, capital management, bond financing and investment. Before joining SSM Health, Mr. Zimmer was CFO of Norton Healthcare in Lou- isville, Ky., and CFO of Mount Carmel Health and St Ann's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Bert Zimmerli. Executive Vice President and CFO of Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City). Mr. Zimmerli joined Intermountain Healthcare in 2003 aer spending time as exec- utive vice president and CFO of Methodist Hos- pital System in Houston. He oversees the health system's insurance and health plan operations, information systems and new business develop- ment planning. In addition to his role with In- termountain, Mr. Zimmerli serves on the board of Intalere, a group purchasing organization, and chairs the board of ExceleraRx, a specialty phar- macy company.
