In her current role, she oversees financial operations for the 233-bed hospital, which includes 2,700 employees. She previously served as CEO of Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., and CFO of Children's Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Stacey Malakoff. Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City). Ms. Malakoff was appointed executive vice president and treasurer of Hos- pital for Special Surgery in August 1998 aer spending eight years with the hospital. In her current role, Ms. Malakoff is responsible for the financial operations of the 215-bed hospital that has 333 active medical staff members and 102 scientists. Hospital for Special Surgery has an operating expense budget of $989 million and research operations budget of $41 million. Peter Markell. Executive Vice President of Ad- ministration and Finance, CFO and Treasurer of Partners HealthCare (Boston). Mr. Markell is responsible for the financial operations of Partners HealthCare, providing oversight for the system's $12.5 billion in operations and around $16 billion in assets. As the executive vice pres- ident and of administration and finance, CFO and treasurer, Mr. Markell also has manage- ment responsibility within Partners Corporate Finance, research management, information systems, real estate and human resources. He became an executive leader at Partners in 1999 aer spending time as an audit partner at Ernst & Young and interim CFO of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Tim Maurice. CFO of UC Davis Health (Sac- ramento). Mr. Maurice oversees the strategic financial planning and reporting for UC Davis Health, which includes a 625-bed multispecial- ty academic medical center and 1,000-member physician group. He is responsible for its $1.6 billion annual budget as well as operational and capital financial planning, billing and collec- tions, payroll and accounts payable. He spent time as vice president and CFO of Dignity Health hospitals before joining UC Davis Health System in 2011. Dan Moncher. Executive Vice President and CFO of Firelands Regional Medical Center (Sandusky, Ohio). Mr. Moncher spent time as regional vice president and CFO of Mercy Hos- pital locations in Tiffin, Ohio, and Willard, Ohio, before joining Firelands Regional Medical Cen- ter in 1997. He now serves as executive vice pres- ident and CFO, responsible for financial, capital, investment and debt management. Mr. Moncher also has experience with business analysis, in- surance claims management and managed care contracting. Sheri Montgomery. CFO of Delray Medical Center (Delray Beach, Fla.). Ms. Montgomery was appointed Delray Medical Center CFO aer spending 17 years in healthcare finance. Her ex- perience includes time as CFO of Coral Gables (Fla.) Hospital. In her role, Ms. Montgomery is responsible for the 536-bed acute care hospital as well as the system's 1,600 employees and 600 physicians. Daniel Morissette. CFO of CommonSpir- it (Chicago). Mr. Morissette became CFO of CommonSpirit when it formed by the alignment of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Ini- tiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health. He is responsible for the financial operations of the health system, which includes 142 hospitals, 700 care sites and around 150,000 employees. In 2019, the health system is expected to have around $30 billion in revenue. He has previous experience as CFO Dignity Health and CFO of Stanford (Calif.) Health Care. Kenneth Morris. Senior Vice President, Trea- surer and CFO of Duke University Health Sys- tem (Durham, N.C.). Mr. Morris is responsible for Duke University Health System's financial functions including debt management, budget- ing, financial planning and analysis, revenue cy- cle and payer relations. As senior vice president and CFO of the health system, Mr. Morris also oversees contracting, procurement, real estate and insurance. He is an integral member of the senior leadership team and helps set orga- nizational strategy. Prior to joining Duke, Mr. Morris was CFO of Ashville, N.C.-based Mis- sion Health. Dominic Nakis. CFO of Advocate Aurora Health (Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Ill.). Mr. Nakis became CFO of Advocate Aurora Health in 2018 aer Chicago-based Advocate Health Care merged with Milwaukee-based Au- rora Health Care. He is responsible for the health system's investments, internal audit, enterprise risk management and financial operations. He also serves as board treasurer. Prior to his cur- rent role, Mr. Nakis spent 30 years at Advocate. Kaley Neal. CFO of Shenandoah (Iowa) Medi- cal Center. Ms. Neal became financial controller of Shenandoah Medical Center in March 2016 and was promoted to CFO in July 2017. In her current role, Ms. Neal oversees financial opera- tions for the 25-bed critical access hospital that has around 300 employees. e hospital's main campus also includes a physician clinic, outpa- tient clinic, wellness center and home health and hospice. Susan Nelson. Executive Vice President and CFO of MedStar Health (Columbia, Md.). Ms. Nelson is responsible for MedStar Health's finances, financial planning and reporting. She also oversees revenue cycle, capital management and investment activities for the nonprofit health system. Ms. Nelson joined MedStar in 2005 as vice president of operations aer spending time as senior manager of assurance and advisory business services for Ernst & Young. John Orsini. Senior Vice President and CFO of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (Chi- cago). Mr. Orsini has more than 30 years of ex- perience in healthcare finance, including time as executive vice president and CFO of Cadence Health, which merged with Northwestern Me- morial HealthCare. Aer the merger, Mr. Ors- ini became senior vice president and CMO of NMHC. He oversees strategic financial manage- ment for the seven-hospital health system. Eric Peburn. Executive Vice President and CFO of Halifax Health (Daytona Beach, Fla.). In 1996, Mr. Peburn joined Halifax as corpo- rate controller and was promoted to director of finance in September 2003. He also spent time as assistant administrator before he became ex- ecutive vice president and CFO in November 2007. In addition to his role at Halifax Health, Mr. Peburn serves on the executive committee and board of directors for the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of Volusia Health Network, Halifax Insurance Plan and Healthcare Purchasing Alliance. Alice Pope. Senior Vice President and CFO of HonorHealth (Scottsdale, Ariz.). Ms. Pope joined HonorHealth in 2016 aer spending time as CFO of Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System. In her role as senior vice presi- dent and CFO of HonorHealth, Ms. Pope directs the system's investment and treasury manage- ment, financial planning, internal audit, supply chain and payer contracting. She has more than 30 years of experience in finance, 20 of which were in healthcare. Scott Posecai. Executive Vice President and CFO of Ochsner Health System (New Orle- ans). Mr. Posecai joined Ochsner Clinic in 1987 and was promoted to CFO in 1995. He became CFO of Ochsner Clinic Foundation in 2001 aer it merged with Ochsner Clinic and then CFO of the Ochsner Health System in 2006. He oversees financial planning, reimbursement, managed care contracting and health infor- mation management in his current role. Mr. Posecai also oversees accounting and revenue cycle functions. Connie Prewitt. CFO of Billings (Mont.) Clinic. Ms. Prewitt has worked at Billings Clinic for more than 20 years and is respon- sible for financial management of the health system. She also provides a strategic vision and personnel management for the physi- cian group and hospital organization. e health system includes a 304-bed hospital and manages 11 critical access hospitals as well as several clinics and a surgery center.
