University of Colorado Health System in Aurora finalized
their integration agreement June 7.
Portland-based MaineHealth revealed plans to integrate its
affiliates under a single umbrella organization.
Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System,
Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Vibra Healthcare and Medistar,
also in Houston, declared plans to collaborate on a post-
acute care facility.
Lewistown-based Central Montana Medical Center finalized
an affiliation agreement with Billings (Mont.) Clinic after
three years of negotiations.
Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health and Main Line Health
in Bryn Mawr, Pa., teamed up to purchase a majority stake in
Royersford, Pa.-based Physicians Care Surgical Hospital.
Downers Grove, Ill.-based DuPage Medical Group, one of
the largest multispecialty physician groups in Illinois, added
five physicians through its recent acquisition of Female
Healthcare in Bloomingdale, Ill.
Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health, the 35-hospital
spin off of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems,
signed a definitive agreement to sell two Pennsylvania
hospitals to Williamsport, Pa.-based UPMC Susquehanna.
After initially integrating under the umbrella organization
Upper Allegheny Health System, Olean (N.Y.) General
Hospital and Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center
submitted a certificate of need application to officials in New
York and Pennsylvania to formally merge.
Florida officials approved a joint certificate of need
application from Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare
and the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., to build a
$48.2 million psychiatric hospital.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland signed a
memorandum of understanding to transfer ownership of
Portland, Maine-based Saint Joseph's Rehabilitation and
Residence to Maine Medical Center, also in Portland.
Alecto Healthcare Services, a four-hospital system in Irvine,
Calif., finalized its purchase of Wheeling, W.Va.-based Ohio
Valley Medical Center and Martins Ferry-based East Ohio
Regional Hospital May 31.
New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System and the
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia strengthened their
alliance by creating a joint fetal medicine program and
aligning the Mount Sinai Children's Heart Center and
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Cardiac Center.
Mercy Hospital St. Louis and St. Anthony's Medical Center,
also in St. Louis, finalized their affiliation agreement.
West Reading, Pa.-based Reading Health System entered
into an asset purchase agreement to acquire five hospitals
owned and operated by Franklin, Tenn.-based Community
Health Systems.
Bolivar, Mo.-based Citizens Memorial Hospital and Citizens
Memorial Health Care Foundation terminated plans to
affiliate with Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth.
