Prior to his current position, Mr. Almendinger offered his financial expertise at multiple organizations, including as vice president and CFO at both Magruder and Memorial hospitals in Delaware, Ohio. He earned an MBA from Bowling Green (Ohio) State University and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Exec- utives. Rebecca Beck. President of Hancock Coun- ty Hospital (Sneedville, Tenn.). During her 13-year tenure with Wellmont Health System, Ms. Beck served in various administrative ca- pacities, including director of surgical services for Bristol Regional Medical Center and Bristol Surgery Center. In her current position, Ms. Beck presides as president for both Hancock County Hospital and Hawkins County Memo- rial Hospital, a 50-bed facility in Rogersville. She earned a master's degree in public health from East Tennessee State University in Nash- ville and master's degree in business adminis- tration from King University in Bristol, Tenn. Mark Biscone. President and CEO of Coastal Healthcare Alliance and Waldo County Gen- eral Hospital (Belfast, Maine). As president and CEO of Coastal Healthcare Alliance, Mr. Biscone oversees operations and administra- tion for both Waldo County General Hospital and Rockport, Maine-based Pen Bay Medical Center. In commendation of his outstanding character, Mr. Biscone was named Citizen of the Year by the Belfast Area Chamber of Com- merce. Aer more than 35 years spent in the Waldo County Healthcare system, Mr. Biscone plans to retire at the end of 2016. Arthur J. Blank. President and CEO of Mount Desert Island Hospital (Bar Harbor, Maine). Mr. Blank first joined Mount Desert Island Hospital as CEO in 1999. Under his leadership, the hospital forged a teaching partnership with Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine, became an accredited critical access facility and affili- ated with nine community health centers. Mr. Blank's stewardship to the regional healthcare community reaches far beyond MDIH. Mr. Blank was installed as chairman of the Maine Hospital Association board of directors in 2012, is a founding board member of HealthInfoNet (a statewide health information exchange) and serves as a member of the American Hospital Association's committee on research. Ed Brunn. President and CEO of Sparrow Clinton Hospital (St. John's, Ohio). Mr. Brunn has served as president of Sparrow Clinton Hos- pital since 1994. He undertook dual responsibil- ities as president and CEO in 2004. Mr. Brunn holds a master's degree in hospital administra- tion from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Patrick Carron. President and CEO of Perry County Memorial Hospital (Perryville, Mo.). Mr. Carron began his career in healthcare as a registered nurse at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis University Hospital and St. Anthony's Hos- pital, all in St. Louis. He joined Perry County Memorial Hospital in 1993 as vice president of operations and assistant administrator, even- tually coming to serve as both president and CEO in October 2005. Outside of Perry Coun- ty Memorial, Mr. Carron serves on the board of various healthcare institutions, including the Southeastern Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Services, the Healthcare Services Group and the Missouri Hospital As- sociation. He received the Regents Award from ACHE for healthcare careerism in 2004. Paula Chermside. CEO of Aspirus Grand View Hospital (Ironwood, Mich.). Ms. Chermside was named CEO of Aspirus Grand View Hospital in May, before which she served as the hospital's COO for three years. As COO, Ms. Chermside oversaw the expansion and renovation the hospital emergency depart- ment, led the design and construction of an outpatient complex and helped implement an EHR. Now as CEO, Ms. Chermside works with Aspirus' Upper Peninsula regional executive team to facilitate increased collaboration be- tween AGVH and other Aspirus hospitals and clinics. Terry Collins. Interim CEO of Aspen (Colo.) Valley Hospital. Mr. Collins was appointed interim CEO of Aspen Valley Hospital in Janu- ary, though it is a position for which he is well prepared. Mr. Collins has held leadership po- sitions at a range of healthcare organizations, from small rural facilities to larger tertiary medical centers. Prior to his current position, he served as CFO of AVH for 12 years. Dolan C. Dalpoas. President of Abraham Lin- coln (NebIll.) Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dal- poas serves as president of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dalpoas joined the ALMH community as a physical therapist in 1994. He has since served in a variety of leader- ship positions at the hospital, including manag- er of rehabilitation services, director of quality management and ultimately CEO.
