79 Hospital and Health System Executive Moves Craig Albanese, MD, was appointed senior vice president and COO of NewYork- Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and Sloane Hospital for Women, effective June 6. e C-suite at Conroe (Texas) Regional Medical Center got a little bigger, as Mujtaba Ali-Khan, DO, joined the hospital as its first- ever CMO. Beth Armstrong was named executive director of People's Health Clinic, a community-supported facility in Park City, Utah. Mercy Health - Cincinnati appointed new leaders at two of its hospitals and expanded the role of a leader at another. Jason Asic was appointed COO of Mercy Health – West Hospital in Cincinnati. Justin Krueger was appointed COO of Mercy Health – Fairfield (Ohio) Hospital. Kathi Edrington, DNP, MSN-NEL, RN, is now East Market CNO, with responsibility for clinical nursing at both Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati and Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Hoag Health named Michael Beck chief administrative officer of Mission Hospital Laguna Beach (Calif.). Great Neck, N.Y.-based Northwell Health shuffled top executives in a move aimed at bolstering the leadership of its eastern region. Kevin Beiner, previously deputy regional executive director of the health system's western region in Manhattan, N.Y., was named senior vice president and deputy regional executive director of the eastern region. Northwell appointed Jay Enden, MD, the long-time medical director of Bay Shore, N.Y.-based Southside Hospital, as medical director of the eastern region. Robert Scanlon, MD, previously associate CMO of Southside Hospital, will succeed Dr. Enden as medical director at Southside Hospital. Lenny Nartowicz, previously associate executive director of finance at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y., was named executive director of e Long Island Home, which operates South Oaks Hospital and Broadlawn Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Amityville, N.Y. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health added three leaders to its executive team. Tanya Blackmon will serve as executive vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer. Denise Mihal, BSN, RN, is now executive vice president and chief nursing and clinical operations officer. Janet Smith-Hill, MSN, BSN, RN, will serve as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Houston-based CHI St. Luke's Health - Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center appointed William Brien, MD, as interim president. Scott Burleson was named executive director of University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital promoted Brenda Burnett, RN, from director of nursing to vice president of patient care services and CNO. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health appointed Jeffrey Carr as the system's first-ever chief innovation officer. Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Mich., named Paula Chermside CEO. Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network is restructuring its leadership. Jeffrey Cohen, MD, a urologist, will take over as president of Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, effective June 1. Michael Harlovic, who had been Allegheny General's president for the past two years, is leaving his post. Mark Rubino, MD, was appointed president of Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa. Duke Rupert, who is currently president and CEO of Forbes Hospital, will become COO of Allegheny General. David Darden, CEO of Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W.Va., resigned. St. Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo., a member of Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health, named Brian Davidson, MD, president. Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, N.C., named Penney Burlingame Deal, DHA, RN, CEO. Dan DeBarba, executive vice president of Danbury-based Western Connecticut Health Network and president of Danbury and New Milford (Conn.) hospitals, resigned. Omaha-based Nebraska Medicine named Daniel J. DeBehnke, MD, CEO. LRGHealthcare in Laconia, N.H., named Kevin W. Donovan president and CEO. Teresa Edwards was promoted to corporate vice president for Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare's Peninsula and Western Tidewater regions. St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, N.Y., named Margaret Frantz — a former flight attendant and patient advocate — as its first-ever chief patient experience officer. Sherry Gehring, MSN, RN, CNO of Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Ind., is retiring June 9. St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, appointed Dale Gisi president. Andrew Goldfrach was named CEO of University Hospitals Avon (Ohio) Rehabilitation Hospital. Audrey Gregory, PhD, MSN, BSN, RN, was named CEO of Saint Francis Hospital- Memphis (Tenn.). Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, based in Kailua- Kona, selected two executives to lead Maui Health System, the new company run by Kaiser Permanente Hawaii that assumes management of the Maui state hospitals July 1. Ray Hahn will serve as senior vice president and area manager. David Ulin, MD, will be the associate medical director of operations at Pacific Permanente Group and chief medical director of the Maui Health System. Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University Health System named Melinda S. Hancock as its new senior vice president and CFO. Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health named Becky Hardie, BSN, RN, the new CNO of its hospital in Waco, Texas. Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare named A. Marc Harrison, MD, president and CEO. Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is reshuffling leadership. Peter Healy, currently the president and CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton (Mass.), will become president of BIDMC's Boston campus, effective Jan. 1. Additionally, BIDMC COO Nancy Formella will retire at the end of the year aer three years in the position. NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan has a new CEO and COO, appointed as part of the system's Vision 2020 plan toward financial stability, growth and improving patient experience.
