HCA Gulf Coast Division — a division of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America — named Tripp Montalbo CEO of Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, Texas. Norma Jean Morgan, CEO of Effingham Health System in Springfield, Ga., retired abruptly. St. Louis-based Ascension appointed Mike Mullins to lead its Kansas operations, effective July 1. Robert Norton, president of North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Mass., plans to retire at the end of 2016. Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Memorial Health System named Scott Nygaard, MD, as CMO. Trish O'Keefe, PhD, BSN, RN, was named president of Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center. Christian Hospital in St. Louis named Rick Stevens president. omas "Tim" Stover, MD, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic Akron (Ohio) General retired. Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center named Mohan Suntha, MD, president and CEO. Darrell K. Terry Sr. was named president and CEO of Newark (N.J.) Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey, also in Newark. Penn State Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center named omas Tracy Jr., MD, CMO. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America appointed Troy A. Villarreal president of HCA's Gulf Coast division, effective June 20. Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care named Brian Welton CEO and administrator of the $25 million hospital it plans to build in Crittenden County, Ark.
