68 Karen Cole. CEO of Shenandoah (Iowa) Medical Center. Ms. Cole, who started her career in healthcare as an intensive care unit nurse in Wisconsin, joined Shenandoah Medical Center in 2012. Prior to that role, she was CEO of Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Mo., but resigned from that position in June 2011. She has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. Dolan Dalpoas, President and CEO of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospi- tal (Lincoln, Ill.). Mr. Dalpoas joined Springfield, Illinois-based Memorial Health System in 1994 and has worked in various capacities — including president and CEO of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital — since. He is board-certified in healthcare management and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Dalpoas was named an Early Career Healthcare Executive of the Year and given the Southern Illinois Regent's Award by the American College of Healthcare Executives. Jake Dorst. CIO and Interim CEO of Tahoe Forest Health District (Truckee, Calif.). Mr. Dorst joined Tahoe Forest Health District, which includes Tahoe Forest Hospital, in September 2014 as chief information and innovation officer and became its interim chief in May. Before joining TFHS, Mr. Dorst was the vice president and CIO of Hagerstown, Md.-based Meritus Health and CIO of Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va. Matthew Forge. Chief Administra- tive Officer of St. Mary's Hospital and Clinics (Cottonwood, Idaho). Mr. Forge was named CAO of St. Mary's Hospital in March. He was previously with Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System serving as practice manager for St. Luke's Clinic-Internal Medicine. Outside of healthcare, some of Mr. Forge's hobbies include basketball, fly-fishing, hunting and walking his Brittany spaniel. Toby Freier. President of New Ulm (Minn.) Medical Center. Mr. Freier became president of New Ulm Medical Center in January 2011. He has more than 15 years of healthcare administration experience. Before joining NUMC, he was vice president of Tomah (Wis.) Memorial Hospital. Mr. Freier earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. Ed Freysinger. CEO of Providence Hood River (Ore.) Memorial Hospital. In addition to overseeing Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, Mr. Freysinger leads healthcare services for Providence throughout the Columbia Gorge. He joined Providence in 2007 in human resources and took on his current role in April 2011. A Michigan native, Mr. Freysinger earned a master's degree in health service administration from the University of Michigan. Marian Furlong, RN. President and CEO of Hudson (Wis.) Hospital & Clin- ic. Ms. Furlong began her career as an RN in acute care settings before moving on to hold multiple hospital operations positions. She became president and CEO of Hudson Hospital & Clinic in 1999. Ms. Furlong has been a member of numerous area boards and community organiza- tions. She currently serves on boards with HealthPartners Physicians Head and Neck Clinic and the University of Wis- consin-River Falls' Chancellor Advisory Committee. Marty Guthmiller. CEO of Orange City (Iowa) Area Health System. Mr. Guthmiller has more than 30 years of healthcare experience and has been CEO of Orange City Area Health System since 1994. He started his career as a certified public accountant in auditing. Outside of his leadership role at OCAHS, Mr. Guth- miller has served on multiple boards, in- cluding Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa; Orange City Development Corp.; the Iowa Hospital Association and the Iowa State Bank. Hank Hanigan. CEO of Whitman Hos- pital & Medical Center (Colfax, Wash.). Mr. Hanigan joined Whitman Hospital as CEO in October 2014. Previously, he served as COO of Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville, Wash., a position he held for about four years. Mr. Hanigan earned an MBA from Washington State University-Vancouver and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Tim Herrmann, RN. Chief Adminis- trative Officer of Cottage Grove (Ore.) Community Medical Center. Mr. Herrmann has been an RN for roughly 33 years and has a clinical background in neuro/trauma intensive care. He worked at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu before being recruited by PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Ore., in 1988 to develop a level II trauma center. He served in various leadership roles for PeaceHealth over the next 26 years and was made CAO of Cottage Grove Community Medical Center in 2014. He served on the Oregon State Trauma Advisory Board for nearly a de- cade and was a founding member and the first president of the Oregon Rural Health Quality Network. Jeff Hill. CEO of Steele Memorial Med- ical Center (Salmon, Idaho). Mr. Hill has led Steele Memorial Medical Center since 2010 and has more than 25 years of healthcare experience. Before taking the top spot at Steele Memorial, Mr. Hill was the president and CEO of Midwest Medical Center in Galena, Ill., and Gale- na-Stauss Senior Care Community. He is a member of several professional organi- zations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the National Rural Health Association and the Idaho Hospital Association's Legislative Policy Committee. Dale Hustedt. CEO of Avera Holy Family Hospital (Estherville, Iowa). e Avera Holy Family Hospital Board of Trustees named Mr. Hustedt as the hospital administrator in 2014. Prior to accepting his role at Holy Family, Mr. Hustedt served as chief administrative of Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minn., a 100-bed, city-owned hospital in the southwestern region of the state. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Points and a master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
