John Bosco. Senior Vice President and CIO of Northwell Health (Great Neck, N.Y.). As the senior vice president and CIO of Northwell Health, a 23-hospital health system, Mr. Bosco is responsible for aligning the system's technology department and business strategies. He also oversees the depart- ment's budget, technology purchases, and established IT policies, standards and procedures. Mr. Bosco joined Northwell as vice president and chief tech- nology officer in 2004 and has experience developing the system's strategic plan for technology and overseeing the IT department's daily operations. Prior to joining Northwell, Mr. Bosco was the senior IT executive for Cap- gemini Ernst & Young. James Brady, PhD. Area CIO of Kaiser Permanente Orange County (Ca- lif.). Mr. Brady spent time as the chief information security officer and direc- tor of technical services at Hawaii Health Systems Corp. in Honolulu before joining Kaiser Permanente Orange County as area information officer in 2013. While at Hawaii Health Systems Corp., Mr. Brady led a technology and infrastructure transformation. In his current role, Mr. Brady works with Kai- ser Permanente Orange County's management to improve quality, reduce costs and ensure patient health. In 2014, Mr. Brady served as president of the HIMSS Southern California chapter. Russ Branzell. President and CEO of the College of Healthcare Infor- mation Management Executives (Ann Arbor, Mich.). Mr. Branzell is the president and CEO of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and affiliate associations, as well as the executive director of the CHIME Education Foundation and CHIME Foundation. He joined CHIME as the president and CEO in April 2013 aer spending time as CEO of Fort Collins-based Colorado Health Medical Group and CIO of Poudre Valley Health System. A retired U.S. Air Force member, Mr. Branzell has served in several leadership positions within the Air Force, including CIO for the Air Mobility Command Surgeon General's Office. Mr. Branzell earned the 2010 CHIME State Advocacy Award and spent four years on the CHIME board. Geoffrey Brown. Vice President and CIO of Piedmont Healthcare (At- lanta). Mr. Brown has more than 35 years of experience in IT management, consulting and strategic planning. He became CIO of seven-hospital Pied- mont Healthcare in 2014 and led the system's hospitals to receive Hospital & Health Networks' Most Wired designation. Jonathan Brown. Vice President and CIO of Mission Health System (Asheville, N.C.). While vice president and CIO of Mission Health, Mr. Brown has implemented a shared EHR across its acute and ambulatory care locations, optimized the EHR for improved caregiver experience and bol- stered the system's security through strategic partnerships. Mr. Brown is also responsible for directing acquisition, budgeting and coordination of IT resources across the health system. Prior to serving in his current role, Mr. Brown spent time as director of IT security at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and was president of the North Carolina Health Information and Communication Alliance. Paul Browne. Senior Vice President of Applied Informatics and CIO of Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Tenet appointed Mr. Browne CIO in 2012, mak- ing him responsible for overseeing leadership and strategic direction of the health system's information technology systems. He also oversees efforts to advance Tenet's business through IT applications and operational strategy for the IT department. In addition to his responsibilities with Tenet, Mr. Browne has served on the clinical advisory council for the Leidos Partner- ship for Defense, which advised the company on the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization contract. Bobbie Byrne, MD. Senior Vice President of Information Systems and CIO of Advocate Health Care (Downers Grove, Ill.). Dr. Byrne served as vice president and CIO of Edward-Elmhurst (Ill.) Healthcare before becom- ing the senior vice president of information systems and CIO for Advocate Health Care in September 2017. In her current role, Dr. Byrne oversees the 12-hospital health system's IT strategy and goals. A pediatric physician by training, Dr. Byrne is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in clinical informatics. She spent her early career as an attending physician at Children's Memorial Medical Center, now Ann & Robert H.
