Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement at Rush University Medical Center and the Rush system so far? MD: One major accomplishment was working with our boards and lead- ership teams to position Rush as an integrated academic health system. Our governance and management philosophy allows us to all focus on a shared health system vision, while ensuring each entity in the system is support- ed to execute on specific strategies that allow us to fulfill our mission — to improve the health of the individuals and diverse communities we serve through the integration of outstanding patient care, education, research and community partnerships. In my heart I really do believe there's a bold and exciting future ahead of us and an opportunity to do something truly dis- tinctive and transformative for Chicago and the country.
