Perry County Memorial Hospital has been providing healthcare services since 1951. e hospital offers numerous community services at the main facility, as well as 20 specialty clinics, including support groups, community health screenings and a car service to transport patients to the hospital. In 2016, the National Rural Health Association recognized Perry County Memorial Hospital as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S. Pike County Memorial Hospital (Louisiana, Mo.). River Falls (Wis.) Area Hospital. Riverwood Healthcare Center (Aikin, Minn.). Riverwood Healthcare Center, which opened its doors in 1955, is an integrated health system featuring a 24-bed hospital and three full-service primary care clinics in north central Minnesota. e hospital was completely rebuilt in 2003 and offers a Level III trauma center and Level I heart attack program. In 2017, the National Rural Health Association recognized Riverwood Healthcare Center as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital, and iVantage Health Analytics designated the facility as one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S. Sanford Luverne (Minn.) Medical Center. Sanford Luverne Medical Center is a part of Sanford Health, an integrated rural health system headquartered in Sioux Falls, S.D. e hospital offers general and specialty care services to southwest Minnesota residents. e National Rural Health Association designated Sanford Luverne Medical Center a Best Practice Recipient for Quality in 2016. Smith County Memorial Hospital (Smith Center, Kan.). Smith County Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes a 28-bed long-term care unit. e hospital was built in 1951 and is currently constructing a new facility.
