West Valley Medical Center (Caldwell, Idaho). Established in 1920 as Caldwell Sanitarium, West Valley Medical Center has grown into a 150- bed facility and one of the state's largest employers with around 700 em- ployees and 200 providers on the medical staff. Surgeons at the hospital perform more than 7,000 procedures annually and the hospital includes a 19-bed behavioral health inpatient unit. West Valley Medical Cetner sees more than 32,000 emergency room visits per year and in 2016, 576 babies were delivered there. In 2015-2016, the hospital underwent an additional ex- pansion to become a 39-bed facility capable of treating more than 51,000 outpatients annually.
