Healthgrades honored ProMedica Flower Hospital with six quality award distinctions in the past year, including the Distin- guished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence in 2017. Renown South Meadows Medical Center (Reno, Nev.). Reno-based Renown Health's Renown South Meadows Medical Center includes a chest pain center, an institute for heart and vascular health, a criti- cal care unit and the Monaco Ridge Assisted Living facility. Renown South Meadows Medical Center has the only 24/7 emergency room in south Reno staffed with board-certified emergency physicians. The hospital has 76 beds and accommodates an average of 4,000 ad- missions per year, including 5,200 inpatient and outpatient surgeries and 21,000 ER visits annually. Riverside Medical Center (Kankakee, Ill.). Riverside Medical Center is Kankakee-based Riverside Health's 312-bed community hospital. e facility includes a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, and is a Level II trauma center. Truven Health Analytics named Riverside Medi- cal Center among the 100 Top Hospitals in 2017 for the eighth time, and the hospital was also a Truven 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital in 2016. e hospital earned the Women's Choice Award as one of America's Best Hospitals for Heart Care this year and Healthiest Employer's Healthiest 100 Places to Work in America distinction in 2016. Roper Hospital (Charleston, S.C.). Founded in 1829 as the first com- munity hospital in the Carolinas, Roper Hospital has grown to include a 24-hour emergency room, a heart and vascular center, as well as cancer and breast care services. e 368-bed hospital was named one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation by Truven Health Analytics in 2017. Roper Hospital is partnering with Medical University of South Carolina and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center to create a medical district in downtown Charleston that could begin construction next year. Russell Medical (Alexander City, Ala.). Russell Medical is a nonprofit acute care facility serving central Alabama. e hospital is an associ- ate of the UAB Health System Community Network, but retains man- agement and governance control. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama designated Russell Medical a Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care in 2016. Since its opening in 1923, the hospital has expanded to include the Wound Care & Hyperbolic Medicine satellite location and a 20,000-square-foot fitness and rehabilitation facility that provides cardi- ac rehab, physical therapy and sports medicine services. Salem (Ore.) Health Hospital. Salem Health Hospital includes 494 li- censed acute care beds and 449 practitioners on the active medical staff. In 2015, Salem Health Hospital reported 25,260 inpatient admissions and 13,724 surgeries. In 2016, Truven Health Analytics named Salem Health among the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation. e Oregonian recognized Salem Health as a top place to work for the fih time in 2016. Sentara Williamsburg (Va.) Regional Medical Center. Sentara Wil- liamsburg Regional Medical Center includes 145 licensed beds and a Joint Commission-certified primary stroke center. Last year, Truven Health Analytics named Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center among the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation, and the National Research Corporation honored the hospital with its 2016 Excellence Award. Sheridan (Wyo.) Memorial Hospital. Sheridan Memorial Hospital em- ploys more than 700 people, making it one of the largest employers in Sheridan County by number of employees. e hospital is licensed for 88 beds and includes 45 physicians who provide primary and specialty care. e hospital's services include the Big Horn Heart Center, cancer care and women's health with around 30 to 40 babies delivered at the hospital each month. e National Rural Health Association recognized Sheridan Memorial as a 2017 Top Rural Community Hospital. Spectrum Health Zeeland (Mich.) Community Hospital. For more than 80 years, Spectrum Health's Zeeland Community Hospital has pro- vided medical services in Michigan. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan named the hospital a Designated Blue Distinction Center+ for Materni- ty Care in 2016, and in 2017 Truven Health Analytics named it among the nation's 100 Top Hospitals for the third time. e 57-bed hospital includes 424 physicians who attended to 2,551 admissions last year and performed 793 inpatient surgeries. St. Clair Hospital (Pittsburgh). A 328-bed acute care medical center, St. Clair Hospital is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. e hospital is the largest employer in Pittsburgh's South Hills, with 2,500 employees, including 550 physicians. In 2016, Hospitals & Health Net- works named St. Clair one of the nation's Most Wired hospitals, and Leapfrog has consistently awarded the hospital an A grade for hospital safety since 2013. Opened in 1954, St. Clair Hospital remains on the forefront of innovation; last year the hospital became the first hospital in the region to offer a cost estimate tool patients can use online to estimate out-of-pocket expenses before receiving services. St. Cloud (Minn.) Hospital. e Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict founded St. Cloud Hospital in 1886. e hospital became part of Cen- traCare Health in 1995 and continues to operate under the auspices of the local Catholic Church. Truven Health Analytics named the 489-bed St. Cloud Hospital among the 100 Top Hospitals in the country for 2017. e hospital includes 4,976 full- and part-time employees and has 440 active and associate physicians on the medical staff. St. David's Medical Center (Austin, Texas). Opened in 1924, St. David's Medical Center includes a 24-hour emergency department as well as the full-service St. David's Rehabilitation Center. e hospital is a primary stroke center certified by e Joint Commission and the Texas Depart- ment of State Health Services' Comprehensive Stroke Center Certifica- tion. Truven Health Analytics named St. David's Medical Center among the 100 Top Hospitals in 2017 for the eighth consecutive year. St. David's Medical Center's three locations, including the Heart Hospital of Austin and St. David's Georgetown Hospital, had a total of 607 beds and 26,476 admissions in 2016. St. Luke's Hospital-Quakertown (Pa.) Campus. St. Luke's Hospi- tal-Quakertown Campus includes more than 275 physicians who provide care in 40 different specialties. St. Luke's University Health Net- work acquired Quakertown Community Hospital in 1995 and has since invested more than $60 million in providing healthcare in the region. e hospital has expanded over the past 20 years to include the Bone & Joint Institute and Heart and Vascular Center. Truven Health Analytics named St. Luke's Quakertown Campus among the 100 Top Hospitals in 2016. Sycamore Medical Center (Miamisburg, Ohio). Orthopedic surgery and weight loss procedures are the cornerstone services at Sycamore Medical Center. A Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network facil- ity, the 144-bed Sycamore Medical Center includes around 1,045 phy- sicians with privileges who handle 148,690 outpatient visits and 54,147 emergency visits annually. Truven Health Analytics named Sycamore Medical Center one of the 100 Top Hospitals in 2017 for the eighth time, and Press Ganey honored the hospital with the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for patient experience in the emergency department in 2016. Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton (Ga.). e 181-bed Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton's hospital campus includes heart and vascular, mater- nity care and cancer centers. e hospital also has a 12-bed intensive care unit and a Health Education and Wellness Learning Center.
