Established in 1949 as the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital, Peterson Regional Med- ical Center opened its current location in 2008. e 124-bed Peterson Regional Medical Center employs more than 250 medical professionals across more than 25 departments. e hospital received Healthgrades' 2017 Outstanding Patient Experience Award, and the National Rural Health Association recognized Peterson Regional as a 2017 Top 20 Rural Community Hospital. Pomerene Hospital (Millersburg, Ohio). Pomerene Hospital traces its beginnings to 1919, when the original Joel Pomerene Hospital Company was comprised of a six-bed women's ward, a three-bed men's ward, six private rooms and 10 physicians. e hospital now has more than 55 beds, staffs more than 80 physicians and records 12,000 emergency visits each year.
