Mr. Hess became CIO of Au- rora-based University of Colorado Hospital in 2009 and held that role through the organization's 2012 merger with three systems and the sub- sequent formation of UCHealth. Mr. Hess, who oversees UCHealth's patient portal, My Health Connection, led the system through an Epic EHR implementation. Before joining UCHealth, he served as CIO of Wilmington, Del.-based Christiana Care Health System. David L. House. Vice President and CIO of Baptist Health (Little Rock, Ark.). Mr. House, who has spent 25 years with Baptist Health, is the sys- tem's vice president and CIO. He has almost 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and previously sat on the advisory board for KLAS, a research organization that monitors healthcare vendor performance. Ross Hurd. CIO of Lake Chelan Community Hospital (Chelan, Wash.). Mr. Hurd is CIO of Lake Chelan Community Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital. Hospitals & Health Network' named LCCH a Most Wired- Small and Rural hospital in 2016 for the second year in a row. He recently helped the hospital convert two offices into server rooms. Mark Jacobs. CIO of Delaware Health Information Network (Do- ver). Mr. Jacobs is the inaugural CIO of the Delaware Health Informa- tion Network, a statewide health information exchange. He previously was director of technology of York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health System, director of technology of Lancaster (Pa.) Health Alliance and director of information technology for Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-based Wyoming Val- ley Healthcare System. He has a master's in health administration from Wilkes-Barre-based Wilkes University. Kyle Johnson. Vice President and CIO of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems (Brewer). With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Ms. Johnson is vice president and CIO of EMHS, a role she took on in 2014. She previously spent 16 years with Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health in roles including vice president and chief integration officer, vice president of clinical applications and interim CMIO. Ms. Johnson has a master's degree in medical informatics from Chicago-based Northwestern University. Liz Johnson, RN-BC, BSN. CIO of Acute Care Hospitals & Applied Clinical Informatics for Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). In her current role as CIO of acute hospitals and applied clinical informatics, Ms. Johnson oversees the clinical systems used across Tenet's more than 80 hospitals across the country. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of CHIME and HL7 International. Ms. Johnson earned her nursing degree and her master's of science in administration from the University of Tex- as at Arlington. Beverly Jordan, MSN, RN. Vice President and Chief Information and Transformation Officer of Baptist Memorial Health Care (Memphis, Tenn.). Ms. Jordan has been working at Baptist Memorial Health Care for nearly 40 years. She has held numerous positions through the years, including chief clinical transformation officer and CNO of the system and of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. In December 2015, she was appointed vice president and chief information and transformation offi- cer as the system transitioned to an Epic EHR system. Scott Joslyn. Senior Vice President and CIO of MemorialCare Health System (Fountain Valley, Calif.). Mr. Joslyn was responsible for a $100 million enterprisewide rollout of MemorialCare's EHR, registration and billing systems. He currently oversees MemorialCare's innovation efforts, including the application of IT to improve productivity and clin- ical quality while reducing cost. Mr. Joslyn sits on the boards of two local health information exchanges and is the co-founder and chairperson of the southern California CIO information-sharing group CHIEF. Mark Kilborn. CIO of Springhill Medical Center (Mobile, Ala.). Mr. Kilborn was appointed area vice president of Allscripts Professional Ser- vices and CIO of Springhill Medical Center in 2000. Under his leader- ship, Springhill became the first hospital in the state to achieve HIMSS Stage 7 Ambulatory Award — and it did so with an entirely outsourced IT department. Mr. Kilborn previously was the operations manager of Mobile (Ala.) Infirmary Medical Center. Mark Lantzy. Senior Vice President and CIO of Indiana University Health (Indianapolis). Mr. Lantzy, who has a 20-year career in healthcare IT, took over as senior vice president and CIO of IU Health in early 2016. He previously was CIO and COO of Pittsburgh-based Gateway Health, a managed care organization. Prior to his role at Gateway, he held multiple leadership roles at WellCare Health Plans, Aetna and Accenture. Ken Lawonn. Senior Vice President and CIO of Sharp Healthcare (San Diego). Mr. Lawonn joined Sharp Healthcare in 2014, bringing more than 30 years of healthcare technology experience. Prior to taking on this role, he was the senior vice president for strategy and technology of Omaha-based Alegent Creighton Health and the vice president and CIO of Fargo, N.D.-based Banner Health. Mr. Lawonn holds an MBA from Lincoln-based University of Nebraska. Mary Anne Leach. Senior Vice President and CIO of Children's Hos- pital Colorado (Aurora). In 2007, Ms. Leach was appointed senior vice president and CIO of Children's Hospital Colorado. In addition, she was onboarded as director of Colorado's Office of eHealth Innovation in De- cember 2016. Previously, she was vice president of clinical applications for Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and led her own consulting organization, M.A. Leach & Co., for seven years. Gerry Lewis. Senior Vice President and CIO of Ascension; CEO of Ascension Information Services (St. Louis). Mr. Lewis became the interim senior vice president and CIO of Ascension and CEO of As- cension Information Services in July 2016 and took on the role perma- nently in October. Mr. Lewis was previously vice president of IT strategy and business development and chief data officer of Ascension Informa- tion Services. He has also served as CIO for Austin, Texas-based Seton Healthcare Family and as an analyst with the CIA. Philip Lous, PhD. Senior Vice President and CIO of SSM Health (St. Louis). Dr. Lous joined SSM Health as senior vice president and CIO in January 2015. Previously, he was Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care's CIO and led the system's Epic EHR implementation. Dr. Lous, who earned his doctorate in computer-based modeling and simulation from the University of Liverpool in England, also spent time as senior vice president and co-CIO of Caremark Inc., a subsidiary of CVS Health. Jonathan Manis. Senior Vice President and CIO of Sutter Health (Sac- ramento). With more than two decades of health IT leadership experi- ence, Mr. Manis was appointed senior vice president and CIO of Sutter Health in 2006. He previously held positions at Mokena, Ill.-based Prove- na Health (now Chicago-based Presence Health) and Downers Grove, Ill.- based Advocate Health Care. He earned a master's degree in information science from Monterey, Calif.-based Naval Postgraduate School. Edward Marx. Interim CIO of NYC Health + Hospitals (New York City). Mr. Marx is an executive vice president of Clinovations, a health- care and management consulting company within Advisory Board Consulting and interim CIO at NYC Health + Hospitals. He previously was senior vice president and CIO of Arlington-based Texas Health Re- sources. Mr. Marx, who blogs on "CIO Unplugged," also served 15 years in the Army Reserve as a combat medic and as a combat engineer officer. Ed McCallister. Senior Vice President and CIO of UPMC (Pitts- burgh). In 2014, Mr. McCallister took the reins as senior vice president and CIO of UPMC. Before being named to his current role, he was di- rector and then vice president and CIO of UPMC's Insurance Services Division. With more than two decades of experience in technology, Mr. McCallister also serves on the boards of the Pittsburgh Technology Council and the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.
