President Barack Obama promoted Dr. Weinstein to the Special Medical Advisory Group in April 2015 to provide advice to the secretary of veterans affairs and the un- dersecretary for health on topics pertaining to veterans' healthcare. In February, he published a book called Unraveled: Prescriptions to Repair a Broken Health Care System. Penny Wheeler, MD. President and CEO of Allina Health (Minne- apolis). A board-certified OB-GYN, Dr. Wheeler took the helm at Al- lina Health in 2015. In addition, she chairs the Minnesota Communi- ty Measurement board and serves on the board of Portico Healthnet, which helps uninsured Minnesotans get access to healthcare services. Dr. Wheeler previously served as Allina Health's chief clinical officer, president of Minneapolis-based Abbott Northwestern Hospital's med- ical staff, chairperson of the Allina Health Quality Committee and a member of the Allina Health board of directors. David Williams, MD. Senior Vice President of Clinical Integration and Optimization of UnityPoint Health and CEO of UnityPoint Health Partners (West Des Moines, Iowa). Not only does Dr. Williams serve as senior vice president of clinical integration and optimization for Unity- Point Health, but he also serves as CEO of the health system's ACO, Unity- Point Health Partners, a position he took on earlier this year. Dr. Williams has held various clinical positions at UnityPoint Health and its predeces- sor organizations, Iowa Health Physicians & Clinics and Iowa Health Sys- tem. A member of the American Association for Physician Leadership, Dr. Williams is board-certified in pediatrics. Ginger Williams, MD. President and CEO of Oaklawn Hospital (Marshall, Mich.). Although she was trained as an ER physician, Dr. Williams got hooked on healthcare administration early in her career. She served as medical director of Oaklawn Hospital's emergency depart- ment before being named CMO of the hospital in 2007. In 2013, she took on the role of CEO and has since spearheaded a massive fiscal turn- around at Oaklawn Hospital. Aer recording a $5 million loss during fiscal year 2014, Dr. Williams helped drive change and leave the hospital with a $1 million margin in fiscal year 2015. Nicholas Wolter, MD. CEO of Billings (Mont.) Clinic. Dr. Wolter joined Billings Clinic in 1982 to practice pulmonary and critical care medicine. Fieen years later, he was appointed CEO, and he now over- sees the system's 304-bed acute care hospital, regional clinics, a long- term care facility and the 10 critical access hospitals Billings Clinic manages.
