13 Eric Bieber, MD. President and CEO of Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health System. Dr. Bieber was named president and CEO of Rochester Regional Health System in 2014. Previously, he served as president of Cleveland-based University Hospitals' Community Hospitals West Re- gion; president of University Hospitals Accountable Care Organizations; and CMO of University Hospitals. From 2001 to 2009, Dr. Bieber filled various leadership roles at Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa., in- cluding CMO and executive vice president of strategic network develop- ment. He is a board-certified OB-GYN and reproductive endocrinologist who sits on the board of directors for Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier and the board of governors for Greater New York Hospital Association. Richard Boehler, MD. President and CEO of St. Joseph Hospital (Nashua, N.H.). Dr. Boehler has served as president and CEO of St. Jo- seph Hospital since 2013. He has more than 20 years of healthcare leader- ship experience, previously acting as vice president of medical affairs and CMO of St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., senior vice president and CMO of Kennedy Health System in Voorhees, N.J., and CMO of the healthcare technology company Medeanalytics in Emeryville, Calif. He is an experienced physician educator who has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School in Boston and Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore. Dr. Boehler is a fellow of the American College of Physician Executives and a member of the American College of Healthcare Exec- utives. He sits on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Hospital Association and the American Heart Association of New Hampshire. Akram Boutros, MD. President and CEO of e MetroHealth System (Cleveland). Dr. Boutros is a board-certified internist who has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. He was named president and CEO of e MetroHealth System in 2013 aer serving as executive vice president and chief administrative officer of St. Francis Hospital – e Heart Center in Roslyn, N.Y., and executive vice president, CMO and COO of South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y. He sits on the boards of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, United Way of Greater Cleveland, the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation and the Cleveland Ballet. Dr. Boutros, who was named to Crain's Cleveland Business' "Power 150" in 2014 and Inside Business Magazine's "Power 100" in 2015, was also the EY 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year for Community Impact in Northeast Ohio. John R. Brumsted, MD. President and CEO of University of Vermont Health Network and CEO of University of Vermont Medical Center (Burlington). Dr. Brumsted has served in a variety of roles at UVM Med- ical Center, including CMO, chief quality officer and interim CEO. He also served as a senior associate dean for clinical affairs at the UVM College of Medicine and medical director of e Vermont Health Plan and Vermont Managed Care. Dr. Brumsted is a member of the Vermont Medical So- ciety Council and the current chair of the VMS Research and Education Foundation board. He is board-certified in obstetrics, gynecology and re- productive endocrinology and infertility. John Cacciamani, MD. CEO of Chestnut Hill Hospital (Philadelphia). Dr. Cacciamani acted as chief of clinical operations and informatics at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia for eight years before he was named CEO of Chestnut Hill Hospital in 2012. He served as president of the Philadelphia Medical Society and has more than 15 years of hospital operations experience. He is a board-certified internist and geriatric sub- specialist who still practices inpatient and outpatient medicine. Dr. Cac- ciamani holds an MBA in operations and information systems from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Michael Caligiuri, MD. Director of the Ohio State University Compre- hensive Cancer Center and CEO of Ohio State's James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (Columbus). In addition to his roles as di- rector and CEO, Dr. Caligiuri is also the John L. Marakas Nationwide In- surance Enterprise Foundation chair in cancer research. He is a professor in the Ohio State University College of Medicine's department of internal medicine and department of molecular virology, immunology and med- ical genetics. Before joining the Ohio State University in 1997, he worked at Buffalo, N.Y.-based Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where he began as an assistant professor. Dr. Caligiuri is on the board of the American Society of Hematology and is president-elect of the American Association of Cancer Research, where he'll begin his term in 2017. David Carmouche, MD. Senior Vice President and President of Ochs- ner Health Network (New Orleans). In early 2016, Dr. Carmouche as- sumed the position of senior vice president and president of Ochsner Health Network, a clinically integrated network composed of health sys- tems in the area and anchored by Ochsner Health System. Before joining OHN, Dr. Carmouche was executive vice president of external opera- tions and CMO at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. Board-certified in internal medicine and a specialist in clinical hypertension, he also spent 15 years practicing at Baton Rouge (La.) Clinic. Dr. Carmouche was Louisiana's first board-certified clinical lipidologist. Patrick Cawley, MD. CEO of MUSC Health and Vice President for Health Affairs of the Medical University of South Carolina (Charles- ton). Dr. Cawley held various positions at MUSC Medical Center, in- cluding vice president for clinical operations and CMO, before becom- ing CEO. As CMO, he worked toward improving the hospital's quality and safety. In 2012, the University HealthSystem Consortium recog- nized his efforts by awarding MUSC with the Rising Star honor. e honor recognizes significant improvements in ranking in UHC's annual Quality and Accountability Study, which identifies exemplary perfor- mance in patient safety, mortality, clinical effectiveness and equity of care. Dr. Cawley is a board-certified internist who was named a Master in Hospital Medicine by the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is a fellow in the Liberty Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Dr. Cawley is certified through the American Col- lege of Physician Executives. John B. Chessare, MD. President and CEO of Greater Baltimore Med- ical Center. Dr. Chessare stepped into the role of president and CEO of Greater Baltimore Medical Center in June 2010, overseeing more than 40 multispecialty physician practices, a 270-bed hospital, a hospice orga- nization and the GBMC Foundation. He previously served as president and CEO of Caritas Norwood (Mass.) Hospital and senior vice president for quality and patient safety of the Boston-based Caritas Christi Health Care System, which was acquired by Boston-based Steward Health Care System in 2010. He has more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience, holding leadership roles at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine, Albany Medical Center/Albany Medical College in New York and the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Chessare is a board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Joanne Conroy, MD. CEO of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (Burl- ington, Mass.). Dr. Conroy was named CEO of Lahey Hospital & Med- ical Center in June 2014. Previously, she served as the chief healthcare officer of the Association of American Medical Colleges in Washington, D.C. Prior to that role, Dr. Conroy held various positions at Florham Park, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System, including CMO, vice president of academic affairs and executive vice president. She also held various academic and administrative leadership roles at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Conroy is board-certified with the American Board of Anesthesiologists and a diplomat with the American Academy of Pain Management. She is the author of numerous abstracts, articles, book chapters and executive presentations. Reginald Coopwood, MD. President and CEO of Regional One Health (Memphis, Tenn.). Prior to becoming president and CEO of Re- gional One Health in 2010, Dr. Coopwood served as CMO of Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital at Meharry and CEO of Metropolitan Nashville
