News & World Report released its 2016-17 hospital rankings Aug. 2, roughly a week on the heels of CMS releasing its Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating program. Just one of the 20 hospi- tals on U.S. News' Honor Roll received a five-star rating from CMS as well — and three received just two stars. Below, the 20 Honor Roll hospitals are listed in rank or- der from U.S. News, along with their overall star rating from CMS. 1. Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.) — 5 stars 2. Cleveland Clinic — 4 stars 3. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston) — 4 stars 4. Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore) — no rating available. Maryland hospitals were not eligible for an overall rating because Medicare does not collect the necessary data, according to Kaiser Health News 5. UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles) — 3 stars 6.
