Henry County Hospital (New Castle, Ind.). Henry County Hospital is a 90-bed general medical and surgical hospital. In 2016, iVantage recognized the hospital as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital, and Healthgrades also awarded it for excellence in patient safety and patient experience. This year, Henry County Hospital will once again participate in a community health fair, offering county residents free cholesterol and blood sugar screenings as well as healthy living information. Hill Country Memorial Hospital (Fredericksburg, Texas). When Hill Country Memorial opened in 1971, more than 5,000 people arrived to see the new facility. The communal interest was largely due to the fact that 93 percent of county residents made some level of financial commitment to the project. The hospital has grown into an 86-bed facility equipped with an intensive care unit, single patient rooms and an indoor community fitness and therapy pool. In 2016, Truven Health Analytics recognized Hill Country Memorial as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation. Holland (Mich.) Hospital. This 189-bed community hospital served its first patient in 1917 and now employs 2,000 people. Holland Hospital's 375 affiliated physicians care for 250,000 residents across two counties and deliver 1,800 babies annually. This year, Holland Hospital garnered multiple honors from Healthgrades, including acknowledgement for clinical excellence, excellence in orthopedic surgery and America's 50 Best Hospitals Award. Holy Family Memorial (Manitowoc, Wis.). When Holy Family Memorial opened its doors in 1899, it was hailed as one of the premier hospitals in the country, boasting modern amenities like an elevator. To this day, this faith-based organization still places a premium on innovation and compassionate care, distinguished in 2016 with a five- star HCAHPS rating from CMS. Also in 2016, iVantage named Holy Family Memorial as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital. HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center (Phoenix). This Magnet-recognized hospital has 266 beds and has been part of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based HonorHealth since October 2013, when Phoenix-based John C. Lincoln Health Network and Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare merged to form a five-hospital organization. This year, the hospital received six recognitions from Healthgrades, including the Patient Safety Excellence Award and the Distinguished Award for Clinical Excellence. Houston Methodist Sugar Land (Texas) Hospital. This hospital has grown steadily since it opened in 1998 and now has 850 physicians across a range of medical specialties. The hospital plays an integral role in the Fort Bend County economy, with a vast majority of employees living in the community they serve. This year, the hospital was acknowledged for excellence in patient safety by Healthgrades and named a 100 Top Hospital by Truven. Howard Young Medical Center (Woodruff, Wis.). Built in 1977, Howard Young Medical Center is a 99-bed acute care facility offering community members a wide range of healthcare services. Howard Young joined Ministry Health Care and the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother in 2001. This year, the hospital received a Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award and was ranked by iVantage as one of the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals. HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital (Breese, Ill.). St. Joseph's Hospital Breese is part of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System and has been part of the community for more than 100 years. In 2015, St. Joseph's accommodated 1,401 inpatient admissions, 8,462 emergency visits and 556 babies delivered. This year, it was named one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation by Truven and also as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital by iVantage. Inova Fair Oaks Hospital (Fairfax, Va.). Inova Fair Oaks, a 182-bed community hospital, is the No. 3 hospital in the Washington metro area, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. The hospital boasts several signature service lines, including spine, weight loss, joint replacement and minimally invasive surgery. Inova Fair Oaks has received Healthgrades' Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence for three years straight, most recently in 2016. It also earned Healthgrades' America's 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery Award this year. Kalispell (Mont.) Regional Medical Center. At Kalispell Regional Medical Center, nearly 200 physicians and 1,400 employees across 100 departments provide care for the community. This regional referral center provides more than $8 million in charity care for the region's most vulnerable and uninsured residents. This year, Kalispell Regional was named a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital by iVantage and received recognition from Healthgrades for outstanding patient experience. Lake Region Healthcare (Fergus Falls, Minn.). Excavation for the hospital that would eventually become Lake Region Healthcare began in 1902. The hospital's unique garden program, Lake Region Takes Root, is almost exclusively powered by volunteer labor and addresses the community's need for affordable produce. Last year the garden produced 7,781 pounds of food, which impacted 3,500 individuals in the community. The hospital was named a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital by iVantage for 2016. Lakeview Hospital (Bountiful, Utah). This 128-bed, 210,000-square-foot acute care hospital opened in 1976 and is staffed by 226 physicians, representing more than 25 specialties and serving 51,800 patients each year. For 2016, Healthgrades recognized Lakeview for excellence in patient safety, joint replacement and orthopedic surgery. Lakeview was also named a 100 Top Hospital by Truven in 2016. Lakeview Medical Center (Rice Lake, Wis.). Lakeview Medical Center was established in 1919 and has since grown as a 40-bed community hospital with 67 affiliated physicians and more than 3,000 inpatient admissions each year. For 2016, Truven named Lakeview Medical Center as a 100 Top Hospital, and iVantage included it on its Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals list. Lakeview places an emphasis on patient dignity, therefore every room in the hospital is private and designed for the comfort of the patients, their families and friends. Lawrence (Kan.) Memorial Hospital. Founded in 1921, Lawrence Memorial has grown throughout the years into a 173-bed facility regularly recognized for excellence. This year, Healthgrades distinguished Lawrence Memorial for providing an outstanding patient experience to its community residents. The hospital was also named to the 100 Top Hospital list compiled by Truven for the fourth time. LeConte Medical Center (Sevierville, Tenn.). Part of Knoxville, Tenn.-based Covenant Health, this 79-bed hospital opened in early 2010 as a modern medical center in a mountain setting. The hospital campus includes the Dolly Parton Women's Center and 54-bed Fort Sanders Sevier nursing home. The hospital was named to iVantage's 2016 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital list.
