18 Edward Prunchunas. Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO of Cedars-Sinai (Los Angeles). Mr. Prunchunas has held his position at nonprofit Cedars-Sinai since 1998. Mr. Prunchunas is an alumnus of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting with an emphasis in mathematics and computer science. He is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and holds both regional and national positions with the organization. Ann Pumpian. Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Sharp HealthCare (San Diego). Ms. Pumpian has been with Sharp HealthCare since 1984 and became senior vice president and CFO of the system in 1993. In her position at Sharp HealthCare, Ms. Pumpian fulfills a myriad of responsibilities, including population management finance, supply chain management, vendor and payer contracting, government reimbursement, financial accounting, payroll, treasury functions and patient financial services. She is a certified public accountant. Harry Reese, Jr. CFO of Ochsner Medical Center (New Orleans). In his role at Ochsner Medical Center, Mr. Reese provides financial, strategic and operational leadership for the 542-bed tertiary and quaternary care teaching hospital. He has been CFO of the medical center since 2010, before which he served as president and COO of a regional home health company in Florida. Mr. Reese received his MBA from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Michael Reney. Senior Vice President for Finance and CFO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston). Mr. Reney, who was previously with Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, joined Dana-Farber in 2015. Mr. Reney holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Healthcare Roundtable for CFOs. Joseph Reppert. CFO of North Mississippi Health Services (Tupelo, Miss.). Prior to joining NMHS in 2009, Mr. Reppert was CFO of Good Shepherd Health System in Longview, Texas. Mr. Reppert oversaw a $20 million single-year growth period in operating income at NMHS from 2014 to 2015. Mr. Reppert is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Charles Ribbe. CFO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical Center (Phoenix). Mr. Ribbe has more than two decades of CFO or controller experience in hospitals and physician practice operations. He is a certified public accountant and member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where he has served on the board as treasurer. Mr. Ribbe has also served as board president for community organizations like the United Food Bank and South Mountain YMCA. Mark Rich. CFO of Steward Health Care System (Boston). Prior to beginning his role as CFO, Mr. Rich was Steward's executive vice president for corporate strategy. In that role, Mr. Rich led acquisitions and played a critical role as the system doubled its size in its first 18 months. During his tenure as CFO of nonprofit Caritas Christi Health Care in Boston, which was converted to for-profit Steward in 2010, the hospital underwent a $50 million earnings turnaround. Mr. Rich graduated from the State University of New York, Binghamton. Craig Richmond. Senior Vice President and CFO of The MetroHealth System (Cleveland). Mr. Richmond took on his current roles at MetroHealth in January 2014. He is responsible for leadership and strategic direction of financial operations across the health system. Mr. Richmond is currently leading a $10 million implementation of Epic System's revenue cycle suite, which is meant to spur enhanced performance accuracy and improved patient satisfaction. Chuck Robb. Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO of Saint Luke's Health System (Kansas City, Mo.). Mr. Robb has been with St. Luke's Health System since he joined their flagship hospital in 1991, and he became CFO of the entire system in 1999. Mr. Robb is also a board member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a certified public accountant and a graduate of University of Missouri-Kansas City. Kevin Roberts. Senior Vice President and CFO of BJC HealthCare (St. Louis). In his role as CFO, Mr. Roberts works to ensure the current and long-term fiscal success of this $4 billion, 12-hospital nonprofit integrated system. A native of central Illinois, Mr. Roberts earned his MBA from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and is a member of the investment committee for Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill. Mr. Roberts is a certified public accountant. Richard Rothberger. Corporate Executive Vice President and CFO of Scripps Health (San Diego). With over three decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Rothberger has held his position as CFO of one of San Diego's largest healthcare systems since August 2001. Since coming to Scripps, he has facilitated a $120 million fiscal turnaround and improved top line revenue. Mr. Rothberger is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Health Management Academy. Steve Roussel. CFO and Chief Compliance Officer of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-McKinney (Texas). Mr. Roussel assumed his role as CFO of BSWMC-McKinney in spring 2011. He is responsible for financial planning, budgeting and coordinating nursing and ancillary services to enable the delivery of safe, quality and compassionate care. Mr. Roussel earned a bachelor's degree in finance/ accounting from Abilene (Texas) Christian University and an MBA from the University of Dallas. William Rutherford. Executive Vice President and CFO of Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.). Mr. Rutherford has been with for-profit HCA on and off for more than two decades. As CFO, Mr. Rutherford is responsible for the system's treasury department, office of the controller and government programs, among others. Mr. Rutherford earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Tampa (Fla.) and is a certified public accountant. Randolph Safady. Executive Vice President and CFO of CHRISTUS Health (Irving, Texas). Mr. Safady has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare operations, accounting and finance. In June 2011 he became CFO and executive vice president of CHRISTUS, where he leads the internal audit, managed care, revenue cycle and treasury departments. Mr. Safady holds a master's degree in management from the University of Central Texas (now Tarleton State University) and is a certified public accountant. Fred Savelsbergh. CFO of Baylor Scott & White Health (Dallas). Mr. Savelsbergh has been with Baylor for the entirety of his career, which spans more than 30 years. He started as a staff accountant and grew to serve as CFO of Baylor Health Care System. He provided leadership during the transitional period during the formation of Baylor Scott & White. As a double major, he graduated from North Texas State University, now University of North Texas, in Denton with degrees in accounting and economics. Matthew Sells. CFO of Shenandoah (Iowa) Medical Center. Mr. Sells, a certified public accountant, has served as CFO of Shenandoah Medical Center since 2013. As CFO, he oversees various departments including fiscal services, health information management, business office, materials management, rehabilitation and wellness center, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy and pharmacy. Prior to joining Shenandoah Medical Center, Mr. Sells was CFO of Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, Neb., for two and a half years.
