He practiced family medicine for 26 years in Roy, Utah. Stephen Weber, MD. Vice President for Clinical Effectiveness and CMO of University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Weber was named vice president for clini- cal effectiveness and CMO for University of Chicago Medicine in 2011. His prior adminis- trative appointments with the system include president of staff, chief healthcare epidemiol- ogist and medical director of infection control and medical director of the University of Chicago's Center for Quality. Dr. Weber is an associate professor in the university's section of infectious diseases and global health. Robert J. Weil, MD. Chief Medical Executive and Associate Chief Scientif- ic Officer of Geisinger Health System (Danville, Pa.). In addition to serving as chief medical executive and chief scientific officer of Geisinger Health System, Dr. Weil is medical director of care support systems for the organization. Prior to joining Geisinger, he was a physician and surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic and president of Lakewood (Ohio) Hospital. Dr. Weil is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Patrice Weiss, MD. CMO of Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, Va.). Prior to her appoint- ment as CMO of Carilion Clinic in 2014, Dr. Weiss was chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Carilion and a professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. She is a founding board member of the Society of Academic Specialists in General OB/GYN, has served on the board of directors for the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and is program chair for the Coun- cil of Residency Education of OB/GYN. Thomas Whalen, MD. CMO of Lehigh Valley (Pa.) Health Network. Prior to being named CMO of Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2011, Dr. Whalen was chair of the organization's department of surgery and spent one year as associate CMO. Previously, he was president of the Association of Program Direc- tors in Surgery, chair of the Residency Review Committee for Surgery and a faculty member at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, N.J., for 17 years. Dr. Wha- len is president of the board of directors of the National Resident Matching Program. Chad Whelan, MD. Senior Vice Pres- ident and CMO of Loyola University Health System (Maywood, Ill.). In addi- tion to serving as CMO of Loyola University Health System, Dr. Whelan is a professor of medicine at Loyola University and associate editor of the Journal of Hospital Medicine. Prior to his current appointment, he was director of the hospital medicine division at Loyola Uni- versity Stritch School of Medicine. At Universi- ty of Chicago Medicine, he was associate CMO for performance improvement and innovation and associate professor of medicine. Suzanne White, MD. CMO of Detroit Medical Center. Prior to joining Detroit Medical Center, Dr. White served as chair of emergency medicine and professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit. In addition to her current role, she is the primary investigator for a $10 million CMS Health Care Innovation Award to develop a primary care expansion model in Detroit. Dr White was previously medical director of the Michigan Poison Control System and founder of the first Detroit Medical Center-Wayne State University disas- ter medicine fellowship. Robert Wiebe, MD. Senior Vice Presi- dent and CMO of Dignity Health (San Francisco). Dr. Wiebe has been senior vice president and CMO of Dignity Health since 2008. Prior to that appointment, he held a variety of leadership positions with the Veterans Health Administration, including director of the Veter- ans Integrated Service Network in San Francisco. Patricia Wilkerson-Uddyback, MD. Vice President of Medical Affairs for Harper University Hospital and Hutzel Wom- en's Hospital (Detroit). Dr. Wilkerson-Ud- dyback has been vice president of medical affairs for Harper University Hospital and Hutzel Women's Hospital since 2010. She was chief of emergency medicine for Harper-Hutzel before her current appointment. She practiced emer- gency medicine within the system for 15 years. David Wood Jr., MD. CMO of Beau- mont Health System (Royal Oak, Mich.). Prior to joining Beaumont Health, Dr. Wood was chief of Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Health System's division of uro- logic oncology for nine years. He also currently serves as president of Beaumont Physicians Partners and manages the Beaumont Physician Practice Plan. Dr. Wood has served as principal investigator for three University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center clinical trials and has published more than 175 research articles. Creighton Wright, MD. Vice President of Medical Affairs at Mercy Health (Cincinnati). Dr. Wright joined Mercy Health in 2014 as vice president of medical affairs for West Hospital in Cincinnati. His prior positions including president of Cardiac, Vascular and oracic Surgeons, medical di- rector of cardiovascular services for the Health Alliance of Cincinnati, and director of the de- partment of surgery for e Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Wright is a founding member of the board of University of Cincinnati Health and continues to serve as medical director for the Cincinnati State Medical Ultrasound Diagnostic Vascular Program. Robert Wyllie, MD. Chief Medical Op- erations Officer of Cleveland Clinic. In addition to his role as chief medical operations officer of Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Wyllie over- sees service line performance management operations for the system. Prior to his current appointment, he was chief of Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital, chairman of the Pediatric Institute and chair of the pediatrics department. Dr. Wyllie has authored over 130 scientific articles for a variety of journals. Thomas N. Zweng, MD. Executive Vice President and CMO of Novant Health (Winston-Salem, N.C.). Prior to becoming CMO of Novant Health, Dr. Zweng was senior vice president of medical affairs for the system for eight years.
