Her previous positions include active duty faculty attending physician and as- sistant professor at Scott Air Force Base Family Medicine Residency Program in Belleville, Ill., and regional medical director for hospice at Celtic Healthcare in Mars, Pa. Loran D. Hauck, MD. CMO of Adventist Health System (Winter Park, Fla.). In ad- dition to serving as CMO of Adventist Health System, Dr. Hauck is senior vice president of clinical effectiveness. His prior appointments include vice president of clinical effectiveness and vice president of medical affairs for AHS, president and CEO of Sunbelt Medical Man- agement in Tucson, Ariz., and medical director of Loma Linda (Calif.) Faculty Medical Group. John Henderson, MD. CMO of Uni- versity of Mississippi Medical Center (Jackson). Before Dr. Henderson began his current appointment in April 2015, he served as chief quality officer of Cleveland Clinic since 2010. ere, he also served as chairman of the quality and patient safety institute and was a professor of surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland, fellow of the American College of Surgeons and chair of ACS' advisory commit- tee on national surgical quality improvement. John Hensing, MD. Executive Vice President and CMO of Banner Health (Phoenix). Dr. Hensing joined Banner Health in 1995 as senior vice president aer practicing internal medicine in Tempe, Ariz., for 18 years. He assumed his current role as CMO of the 29-hospital system in 2009. Dr. Hensing has served on the boards of e Sa- maritan Foundation, HealthPartners of Arizo- na and the Arizona Medicare Demonstration Project, and he is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. William Hurford, MD. CMO of UC Health (Cincinnati). Dr. Hurford was named UC Health's first CMO in February 2015 aer serving as chair of the system's department of anesthesiology since 2003. He joined UC Health from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he was director of critical care and medical director of respiratory care. Dr. Hurford has authored more than 150 articles on a variety of research topics, such as inhaled nitric oxide therapy and the metabolic and physiologic consequences of hypoxia. Michael Jablonover, MD. Senior Vice President and CMO of University of Maryland Medical Center (Baltimore). Prior to being appointed senior vice president and CMO in February 2015, Dr. Jablonover was CMO of University Specialty Hospital in Baltimore, vice president of medical affairs and CMO of University of Maryland's Rehabilita- tion and Orthopaedic Institute, and president and CEO of the Rehabilitation and Ortho- paedic Institute. Additionally, he served as an assistant professor in the school's department of medicine for 10 years. Neil Jasani, MD. Chief Academic Of- ficer, Chief Learning Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs for Christi- ana Care (Wilmington, Del.). In addition to serving as chief academic officer and vice president of medical affairs for Christiana Care, Dr. Jasani is the designated institutional officer for graduate medical education for the system. He also serves as an associate professor of emergency medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at omas Jefferson University in Phila- delphia and as an independent examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Kevin Johnson, MD. Regional Vice President of Medical Affairs and CMO of SSM Health (St. Louis). Dr. Johnson was named regional vice president of medical affairs and CMO of SSM Health in 2008. Before then, he was vice president and chief quality officer of SSM and vice president of medical affairs at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. He served as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Examiner for three years and held staff mem- berships at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis and SSM Health DePaul Hospital. Nirmal Joshi, MD. CMO of Pinnacle- Health System (Harrisburg, Pa.). Prior to being named CMO of PinnacleHealth in 2012, Dr. Joshi was vice president and chief of opera- tions for the system's Community Campus. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, he helped establish a healthcare system in New Delhi, India, through Harvard Medical Inter- national aer completing his residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Joshi also served as a department of medicine professor for nine years at Penn State Hershey. Michael D. Kelleher, MD. CMO of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital (Chi- cago). Prior to being named CMO of Lurie Children's Hospital, Dr. Kelleher served as the hospital's chief medical information officer and associate chair of the department of pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He currently serves as an associate professor of pediatrics at the medical school. James E. LaBelle, MD. Corporate Senior Vice President and CMO of Scripps Health (San Diego). Prior to be- ing named CMO of Scripps Health, Dr. LaBelle was corporate vice president of quality, physi- cian co-management and medical management for the system, served two terms as chief of staff and was medical director of emergency services at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas in California. He is co-founder and past president and CEO of Connect the Docs, an independent multispecialty physicians association. Michael Langberg, MD. Senior Vice Pres- ident for Medical Affairs and CMO of Ce- dars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles). In addition to serving as senior vice president for medical affairs and CMO of Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Langberg is adjunct professor of medicine at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine. Omar Lateef, DO. CMO of Rush Univer- sity Medical Center (Chicago). Dr. Lateef served as associate chief medical officer of Rush University Medical Center from 2009 until January 2015, when he was named CMO. He has held a variety of administrative positions with the system, including associate professor of pulmonary medicine, senior vice chair of the department of medicine and associate dean of medical sciences for Rush Medical College. Richard S. Liebowitz, MD. CMO of NewYork-Presbyterian. Dr. Liebowitz joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2006 as vice president of medical affairs. He served as CMO of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center prior to becoming CMO of NewYork-Presbyterian in 2012.
