44 Jeremy Boal, MD. Executive Vice Pres- ident and CMO of Mount Sinai Health System (New York). Dr. Boal first joined Mount Sinai Medical Center in 1994 and was vice chair for strategic planning in the depart- ment of medicine for the medical center before being named CMO in 2013. He previously served as medical director, senior vice president and CMO for Northwell Health in Great Neck, N.Y. Dr. Boal is a board-certified internist. John Bonamo, MD. CMO of Barnabas Health (West Orange, N.J.). Prior to being named CMO of Barnabas Health in 2014, Dr. Bonamo was president and CEO of Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. He has held various other administrative positions with the system, including health quality officer and leader of the quality council and quality forum. Dr. Bonamo is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Healthcare Executives, and he is also a member of the New Jersey Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. James Borders, MD. CMO of Baptist Health (Lexington, Ky.). Dr. Borders joined the Baptist Health medical staff in 1988 and began work as CMO of the system in August 2015. He has served as chairman of the Kentucky Medical Association Council since 1992 and chairman of the Baptist Health Lexington Continuing Education Committee since 1991. Dr. Borders is a principal investiga- tor with Central Kentucky Associates, having worked on more than 130 clinical trials since 2005. He is a board-certified internist. William A. Bornstein, MD, PhD. Chief Quality Officer and CMO of Emory Healthcare (Atlanta). Dr. Bornstein was named chief quality officer of Emory in 2003 and CMO of the system in 2006. He led a major expansion of the Emory Healthcare quality pro- gram in 2006, which resulted in the formation of the Emory Healthcare Office of Quality. He also served as medical director of the Emory Healthcare Information Services department and was a leader in developing the system's data repository and EHR adoption project. Dr. Born- stein has served on a number of national com- mittees focused on using IT to improve quality, including those for the University HealthSystem Consortium and the Joint Commission. He is a board-certified internist and endocrinologist. Bernard Boulanger, MD. Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer of MetroHealth System (Cleveland). Dr. Boulanger assumed the role of executive vice president and chief clinical officer of MetroHealth System on March 1. Prior to this appointment, he served in a number of roles at University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, including CMO, medical director of inpatient services and enterprise director for surgery, endoscopy and interventional services. Amy Compton-Phillips, MD. Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Offi- cer for Providence Health & Services (Renton, Wash.). Dr. Compton-Phillips was appointed executive vice president and chief clinical officer of Providence Health & Services in August 2015. Prior to joining the system, she held a number of administrative roles with Kaiser Permanente, including serving as internal medicine service chief, physician di- rector of the Columbia, Md. region, physician director for population care and, most recently, chief quality officer at e Permanente Foun- dation in Oakland, Calif. Joe Corcoran, DO. CMO of Brandon Regional Hospital (Tampa Bay, Fla.). Dr. Corcoran joined Brandon Regional Hos- pital as CMO aer nearly 20 years as an OB/ GYN in private practice. He previously served as director of medical education for Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla., and has been senior medical director to e Advisory Board Company since 2008. Patrick Courneya, MD. Executive Vice President and CMO of Kaiser Founda- tion Hospitals and Health Plan (Oakland, Calif.). Prior to joining Kaiser in 2014, Dr. Courneya served as medical director and asso- ciate medical director for HealthPartners Health Plan in Minnesota for 10 years and as a practicing family physician for 25 years. Additionally, he serves as chair of the America's Health Insurance Plans' Chief Medical Officer Leadership Council and chair of the Alliance of Community Health Plans Medical Director Council. Ravin Davidoff, MD. Senior Vice Pres- ident of Medical Affairs and CMO of Boston Medical Center. In addition to being named senior vice president and CMO of Boston Medical Center in 2008, Dr. Davidoff is also associate dean for clinical affairs at Boston University, where he is a professor of medicine. Prior to his current role, he was director of clinical cardiology and echocardiography for the system. Dr. Davidoff has published over 200 articles and book chapters, is associate editor of the journal Circulation and senior associate editor for Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging. Anne Boland Docimo, MD. CMO of Jef- ferson Health System (Philadelphia). Before joining Jefferson Health System as CMO in October 2014, Dr. Docimo was CMO of UPMC Health Plan. Her previous admin- istrative roles include senior medical director for UPMC's hospital division and director of urgent care and community medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System in Baltimore. Dr. Docimo has served on boards for Free Health Clinic, McKesson and UPMC's Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Steven G. Docimo, MD. CMO and Vice President of Children's Subspecial- ty Services at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. In addition to his roles at the children's hospital, Dr. Docimo is a professor of urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He joined Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2000 aer seven years at Baltimore-based Johns Hop- kins Hospital, where he served as professor of urology and director of pediatric endourology. roughout his career, he has penned more than 100 articles and book chapters and edited four textbooks. Dr. Docimo also served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander. Tony Farah, MD. CMO of Allegheny Health Network (Pittsburgh). Prior to be- ing named CMO of Allegheny Health Network, Dr. Farah was CMO of Allegheny General Hospital and medical director of AGH's Car- diac Cauterization Laboratories. He has been principal investigator or co-investigator on more than 100 clinical trials, having published studies in scientific journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circula- tion and the New England Journal of Medicine. Loring Flint, MD. Executive Vice Presi- dent and CMO of Inova Health System (Falls Church, Va.). With more than 30 years experience in healthcare, Dr. Flint's prior positions include CMO of Baystate Health in Springfield, Mass., and various roles at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He helped found the Pediatric Specialists of Virginia, a physi- cian practice in partnership with Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Harris Frankel, MD. Senior Vice Presi- dent and CMO of Nebraska Medicine (Omaha). Dr. Frankel was appointed senior vice president and CMO of Nebraska Medicine in January 2014. In addition to his current role, he is president of the Nebraska Medical Association and medical director of the Uni- versity of Nebraska Medical Center Physicians Clinical Neurosciences Center.
