He previously served as a trauma surgeon, medical director of inpatient services and executive of Lexington-based Good Samaritan Hospital. Tampa, Fla.-based WellCare Health Plans, a private Medicare and Med- icaid managed care company, termi- nated senior vice president and CMO Steve Goldberg, MD, effective April 1. Cleveland-based MetroHealth System promoted Melissa Kline, MSN, RN, to vice president of nursing and CNO. Previously, Ms. Kline was associate CNO. She replaces Mavis Bechtle, MSN, RN, who was promoted to chief hospital clinical officer. Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Md., named Sunil Madan, MD, CMO and chief population health officer. Dr. Madan earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia and is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. He replaced Gabriel Jaffe, MD, who was the hospital's first CMO. Kimberlee Richard, MSN, RN, was named director of nursing at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn. Ms. Richard was previ- ously the director of medical surgical services at Waterbury (Conn.) Hospital. Janiece Zauner, MSN, RN, became COO and CNO of Providence Seaside (Ore.) Hospital.
