Prior to that, he served as CFO of the hospital for 12 years. M. Steven Jones. President of University Hospitals Geneva (Ohio) Medical Cen- ter. Mr. Jones took on the role of presi- dent of UH Geneva Medical Center in 2014, but this was not his first foray into leading a UH facility: He had already held the same responsibility at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio, before taking the helm at UH Geneva. Mr. Jones also currently leads UH Conneaut (Ohio) Medical Center. Before joining University Hospitals, Mr. Jones was with Cedars-Si- nai in Los Angeles. John Keelan. CEO of Brodstone Me- morial Hospital (Superior, Neb.). Mr. Keelan has been the CEO of Brodstone Memorial Hospital for 14 years but he has been in the healthcare field for 44 years, 11 of which were spent with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. Mr. Keelan received his education at Kansas State University in Manhattan and University of Washburn in Topeka, Kan. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and the United Methodist Church and has served on the boards of Superior Economic Development, Supe- rior Ambassadors and South Heartland District Health Department. In his spare time, Mr. Keelan enjoys spectator sports, reading and traveling. Ben Koppelman. President and CEO of CHI St. Joseph's Health (Park Rapids, Minn.). Since 2007, Mr. Koppelman has served as president and CEO of CHI St. Joseph's where he oversees the leadership, operational and financial management of the organization. Under his leadership, the hospital has undergone a multimillion dollar expansion and become one the first critical access hospitals in Minnesota to develop a hospitalist program. Be- fore joining St. Joseph's, Mr. Koppelman served as an administrator of Albany (Minn.) Area Hospital & Medical Center, which is also part of Catholic Health Initiatives. Catherine Landis, RN. President and CNO of Transylvania Regional Hospital (Brevard, N.C.). Ms. Landis was named president and CNO of Transylvania Regional Hospital in August 2014. She previously served as CNO of East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Ms. Landis has also held various leadership positions at Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis Health Care and Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System. Vic Lee. President and CEO of Boone County Health Center (Albion, Neb.). Mr. Lee has been president and CEO of the Boone County Health Center since June 2000. is native of Valley City, N.D., earned his bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and his master's in health administration at the University of Colorado Denver. Mr. Lee is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as a husband, father and grandfather. James K. Long. CEO and Administrator of West River Health Services (Hetting- er, N.D.). Mr. Long is a healthcare CEO with a financial background, as he is a certified public accountant and a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He served as CFO of West River Health Services for about eight years before becoming CEO and administrator in 1991. Mr. Long was selected as the Out- standing Rural Health Professional at the Dakota Conference in 2000. Michelle McEwen. President and CEO of Speare Memorial Hospital (Plym- outh, N.H.). Ms. McEwen has led Speare Memorial Hospital, which has more than a century's worth of history, since June 2000. She is a certified public accountant and a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Ms. McEwen put her financial knowledge to good use in her previous role as vice president for finance at the New Hampshire Hospital Association. Steve McNeece. CEO of Community Hospital of Anaconda (Mont.). Mr. McNeece was named CEO of Communi- ty Hospital of Anaconda in 2001, before which he served for 13 years as vice pres- ident of St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Mont. Under his leadership, CHA has expanded both its service offerings and its medical campus. Mr. McNeece is the previous chair of the Montana Hospital Association's board of directors, as well as a proud father and grandfather. David R. Miller. President of River Falls (Wis.) Area Hospital. Before becoming a healthcare administrator, Mr. Miller spent time as a nationally registered paramed- ic. He used that experience serving as president of Allina Health Emergency Medical Services and Allina Health Urgent Care Clinics. Before joining River Falls Area Hospital, which is part of Minneapolis-based Allina Health, Mr. Miller spent 10 years as the vice president of operations for United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. He earned an MBA from the University of St. omas, also in St. Paul, Minn., and serves on the board of Life Link III, which is a nonprofit that provides air medical transport. Tamara Miller. CEO of Madison (S.D.) Community Hospital. Ms. Miller started out at Madison Community Hospital as an administrative assistant. She le in 1994 to accept the CEO position at Dells Area Hospital in Dells Rapids, S.D. — a job she held for two years — before returning to Madison in 1996 to serve as the CEO. is South Dakota native is a fellow in the American College of Health- care Executives and serves on numerous professional and community board and councils. Ms. Miller — a wife and mother of three boys — enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, hiking and shopping. Chuck Nelson. Regional CEO for Aspi- rus Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In his role as CEO of Aspirus Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Mr. Nelson also oversees Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Mich. Mr. Nelson took on his current role in 2012. Previously, he served as the CEO (and before that, COO) of Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center in Laurium, Mich.
