Derek Lythgoe will serve Ban- ner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa; Cheryl Tong will serve Banner Desert Medical Center and Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa; omas Matenaer will serve Ban- ner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert; and Darcy Robertson will serve Banner Payson Medical Center. UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa, named Tim Ahlers COO. Moab (Utah) Regional Hospital named Jennifer Sadoff CEO. Brunswick-based Southeast Georgia Health System appointed Michael D. Scherneck as its new permanent president and CEO. Brian Herwig, CEO of Estes Park (Colo.) Medical Center, submitted his resignation. Leonard Hernandez, president and CEO of Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kan., is leaving the organiza- tion to become CEO of Burlington, Kan.- based Coffey Health System. Bill Sugg, president and CEO of Ord, Neb.-based Valley County Health System, resigned following an investigation that revealed allegations of harassment and conflicts of interest. e Ohio State University in Columbus appointed Mark Larmore as CFO of its Wexner Medical Center. Frank V. Sacco, president and CEO of Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Health- care System, is retiring, effective Feb. 29, 2016. King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services, the parent company of South Texas Health System in Edinburg, hired John Doyle as a new CFO to over- see nine Texas medical facilities, including six local hospitals. Patty Maysent was appointed interim CEO of UC San Diego Health. Jeffrey Shelton was named CEO of Ster- ling (Colo.) Regional MedCenter. Aileen Chandler, MSN, RN, was named interim CEO of Ogallala (Neb.) Commu- nity Hospital. Brenda Qualls, CFO of Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville, Ga., is resigning. Shelly Harris will serve as acting CEO of the Indian Health Service's hospital in Winnebago, Neb. Rome (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital President and CEO Basil J. Ariglio, who is known as "Buzz," resigned Aug. 18 aer 23 years of service. e Wrangell (Alaska) Medical Center Board of Directors hired Robert Rang as the new hospital CEO. Stephen Pitts, CEO of Morehouse Gen- eral Hospital in Bastrop, La., is leaving his position. Jim Horton, administrator and CEO of Fort Stockton, Texas-based Pecos County Memorial Hospital, is leaving the system Sept. 15. John Moore, CEO of Hiawatha (Kan.) Community Hospital, intends to retire next year. Gene Meyer, president and CEO of Law- rence (Kan.) Memorial Hospital, plans to retire in May 2016. Davide Carbone, CEO of West Palm Beach, Fla.-based St. Mary's Medical Center, stepped down just two days aer the hospital closed its troubled pediatric cardiothoracic surgery program. Pam Brier, longtime CEO of Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Maimonides Medical Center, will retire later this year. Regional One Health, based in Memphis, Tenn., named Jackie Lucas senior vice president and CIO. USMD Health System, a physician-led integrated healthcare system in Irving, Texas, announced the appointment of Jim Berend as CFO and executive vice president. Karen Metz, CEO of Knoxville, Tenn.- based Physicians Regional Medical Cen- ter, resigned. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., named Keith Perry CIO. Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, based in Milwaukee, named William Showalter senior vice president and CIO. Carol Gore, BSN, RN, was appointed CNO of Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Ark. Mercy Health-Cincinnati named Justin McGoldrick, MD, CMO. e Hanover (Pa.)
