Here are five important takeaways: 1. Units of Stryker's rHead, uHead, Sigmoid Notch, Remotion and Radio Capitellum products are being recalled. 2. e company is recalling 16,992 units in total. 3. e company is recalling the units because packaging integrity of the units may be compromised by transportation. 4. e recall was designated as a class 2 recall, which is defined by the FDA as "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote." 5. Stryker reported net sales were up 2.9 percent in the second quarter of 2015 to $2.4 billion. e company's net earnings were up 206.3 percent in the quarter to reach $392 million. n
