Houston-based Harris Health Sys- tem named Maureen Padilla to the full-time role of senior vice president and chief nurse executive. John W. Polanowicz, former secretary of the Exec- utive Office of Health and Human Services in Mas- sachusetts, took a role as executive vice president of network, insurance and physician operations at Boston-Based Steward Health Care System. Auburn, Ind.-based DeKalb Health named Craig Polkow CEO. Rockledge, Fla.-based Health First, an integrated delivery network in Central Florida, selected Alex Popowycz as senior vice president and CIO. Maryann Reese, CEO of St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill., accepted a new position as executive vice president and COO of Saint Francis Health System in Cape Girardeau, Mo. San Francisco-based Dignity Health realigned hospital leadership in the Sacramento, Calif. Mi- chael Ricks, former president of Mercy Hospital of Folsom (Calif.), le Dignity Health. Edmundo Castañeda, whose former role was president of Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, is now president of both Mercy General Hospital and Mercy Hospital of Folsom. Regional Medical Center named Ross Taylor, MD, as the new CMO. Marilyn Tremblay, RN, MSN, resigned from her position as CIO at Regional Medical Center of Or- angeburg and Calhoun Counties in Orangeburg, S.C., to become IT director of applications at Phil- adelphia-based Grand View Health. Seattle-based Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center appointed Matthew Trunnell as vice presi- dent and CIO, effective August 31. Children's Hospital Los Angeles named Paul S. Viviano president and CEO Karen S. Watts, MSN, RN, was named executive vice president and CNO of Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas. Daniel Wolcott, president and CEO of Takoma Regional Hospital in Greeneville, Tenn., stepped down to become president and CEO of Roseville, Calif.-based Lodi Health.
