DeConciliis, CASC, is the adminis- trator of Boston Out-Patient Surgical Suites in Waltham, Mass. Mr. DeConciliis has been a physi- cian assistant in orthopedics since 1999. He left New England Baptist Hospital in 2004 to start up Boston Out-Patient Surgical Suites. Alfonso Del Grandado is the administrator and compliance officer at Ashton Center for Day Surgery in Hoffman Estates, Ill. He also oversees all three sur- gery centers under Oak Brook (Ill.) Medical Man- agement's brand — Oak Brook (Ill.) Surgical Center, Aiden Center for Day Surgery in Aston, Ill., and Ash- ton Center for Day Surgery. He has almost 20 years of management experience in healthcare. Joseph DeMarco is administrator of the Phila- delphia-based Thomas Jefferson University Hos- pital's surgery center, Jefferson Surgical Center at the Navy Yard. The center is also affiliated with The Rothman Institute and Nueterra Healthcare. Henry DeVries is the administrator of Hinsdale (Ill.) Surgical Center, an affiliate of United Surgi- cal Partners International. Last year, Mr. DeVries successfully recruited an orthopedic group. He has been with Hinsdale Surgical Center for three years. Previously, he was an independent consul- tant with McKinley Resources. Ed Downs, RN, BS, HCA, MBA, is the admin- istrator of Conroe (Texas) Surgery Center. The 24,000-square-foot surgery center provides a wide array of services, including non-emergent retinal services, lap band procedures as well as bone anchored hearing aid implantation. Barbara P. Draves, CASC, is an owner and the ad- ministrator at The Surgery Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and serves on the board of direc- tors for CASC. The center was founded in 1984 and includes 23-hour stay capabilities. Jean Dunaway, RN, CASC, was named admin- istrator of Effingham (Ill.) Ambulatory Surgery Center in 2009, before which she served as an op- erating room nurse at the surgery center for eight years. She has been an RN since 1987. She over- sees freestanding multispecialty facility, which includes four operating rooms and performs around 550 cases per month. Vicki Edelman, RN, is vice president of opera- tions for Ambulatory Surgical Centers of Amer- ica. She most recently served as administrator at Blue Bell (Pa.) Surgery Center, a position she held for more than six years. She has been a nurse for more than 30 years and previously held leadership roles at a community hospital. Scott Edwards is administrator at North MS Am- bulatory Surgery Center in Tupelo, M.S., Center for Digestive Health and North MS Pain Manage- ment. He has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. He serves on the Mississippi ASC Association board. Joseph Engel, MPS, is the administrator of Gas- troenterology Associates of Fairfield (Conn.) County and The Endoscopy Center of Fairfield. She is a member of the Medical Group Man- agement Association, Connecticut Association Ambulatory Surgery Centers and American Gas- troenterological Association. He joined Gastro- enterology Associates of Fairfield in 2003 and he coordinated the design and development of The Endoscopy Center of Fairfield. He has previously served as vice president of operations in a practice management company and administrator of sev- eral large practices. Angela Erosenko has been administrator and CEO at CMMP Surgical Center in Jefferson, Mo., for more than 15 years. Before then, she was busi- ness office manager at the center for three years. Jim Evely has been at BRASS Surgery Center in Baton Rouge, La., since June of 2013. The center is affiliated with Surgical Care Affiliates. Before his time there he spent nearly a decade with DaVita, a dialysis treatment and support system company. Brien Fausone is administrator of Michigan En- doscopy Center and Michigan Endoscopy Center/ Providence Park in Farmington Hills and Novi, respectively. He has been the administrator of MEC since 2003, prior to which he was a hospital executive for 30 years. Both the surgery centers are distinctly GI-focused and offer a number of services, including colonoscopy, flexible sigmoid- oscopy, upper endoscopy and capsule endoscopy. They are accredited by the Accreditation Asso- ciation for Ambulatory Health Care and perform more than 20,000 procedures annually. Maria Freed, MHSA, is the administrator at Coral Gables (Fla.) Surgery Center, a Meridian Surgical Partners facility. She has more than 25 years of ex- perience in the healthcare industry and she previ- ously served as an assistant administrator at Coral Gables Hospital and Doctors Hospital. She was also a former director of international services for HealthSouth Corporation in Birmingham, Ala., and after that for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She earned a master's degree in health services administration and lectures fre- quently on the subject of patient advocacy. Michael Galvin is the administrator of The Christ Hospital Spine Surgery Center in Cincinnati. The center is managed by United Surgical Partners In- ternational and two years ago Mr. Galvin received the 2012 CEO Award. Mr. Galvin has been the center's administrator for more than five years. Christine Gambrel, RN, BSN, is administrator of the Surgery Center of Rockville (Md.). The sur- gery center is affiliated with Surgical Care Affili- ates and has eight physician-owners. The center offers ENT, general surgery and pain manage- ment procedures. Melodie Garrobo is administrator at Golden Ridge Surgery Center in Golden, Colo. She has managed surgery centers for more than 15 years. She was instrumental in developing the Colorado ASC Association and served on the task force the Colorado Division of Labor and Employment. Jackie Ginter, RN, BSN, MSN, is the administra- tor of GNS Surgery Center in Athens, Ga. The center focuses on outpatient spine and neurosur- gical care. GNS Surgery Center is affiliated with Blue Chip Surgical Center Partners. Diana Grasso, RN, BSN, CNOR, is the clinical director and director of nursing at Gloucester County Surgery Center in Mullica Hill, N.J. The surgery center, managed by ASD Management, is a joint venture between physician partners and Underwood Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining the surgery center team, Ms. Grasso worked at Underwood Memorial Hospital for 32 years. Julie Greene is the CEO of Muskegon (Mich.) Surgery Center, a joint venture between Mercy Health Partners and physician-owners. Ms. Greene has been CEO of the center for more than six years. She has also served as board director of the Michigan Ambulatory Surgery Association. Debra Hagendorn RN, CASC, is the administra- tor of South Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center in Lynbrook, N.Y. She has served as a registered nurse for 31 years, with 11 years of hospital man- agement experience in perioperative services. She has served as administrator of the South Shore ASC since 2003. The center performs around 5,500 cases a year. She also has certification in ambulatory surgery management. Michaela Halcomb, RN, MSN, MPS, CIC, is a di- rector of operations for PINNACLE III and the administrator of Peak One Surgery Center in Fris- co, Colo. She joined PINNACLE III in 2015 and has more than 35 years of experience in health- care. Prior to joining PINNACLE III, Ms. Hal- comb held a variety of leadership positions with St. Anthony Summit Medical Center. She holds a BSN from Indiana University and a MPS from Denver University. Debbie Hall, RN, MBA, is the administrator of High Plains Surgery Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. The center is managed by Regent Surgical Health. Ms. Hall has served as the center's administrator since 2002. Tracey Harbour, BSN, RN, is administrator at Surgery Center of Pinehurst (N.C.), a Nueterra Healthcare facility. She has been an administrator since 2007. The surgery center is a joint venture with First Health of the Carolinas. It has six op- erating rooms and two pain management rooms. Laura Harding is the administrative director of Physicians Surgery Center at Alvarado in San Di- ego. Ms. Harding oversees all business aspects of the surgery center including coding, billing, ac- counts receivable and payable, human resources and corporate compliance. She earned her degree from Akron (Ohio) University. Judy Harless, MBA, CASC, is administrator at SMI Surgery Center in San Diego. She has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare in- dustry and advocated on behalf of ASCs locally and nationally. She has served on the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association board and was newly elected as a board member with the California Ambulatory Surgery Association. Bill Hazen, RN, has been administrator and CEO at The Surgery Center at Pelham in Greer, S.C., since 2004, when he helped open the center. Pre- viously, he served as director of special projects at Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Medical Center.
