Randolph Safady. Executive Vice President and CFO of Christus Health (Irving, Texas). Mr. Safady has served as executive vice president and CFO of Christus Health since June 2011. He has more than 30 years of experience in finance, accounting and healthcare operations. Before joining Christus Health, Mr. Safady served as CFO of Centura Health, based in Englewood, Colo. He is a certified public accountant and has a master's degree in man- agement from the University of Central Texas. Alan Sattler. CFO of ProMedica (Toledo, Ohio). Mr. Sattler has served as CFO of ProMedica since June 2014. He is responsible for the overall finan- cial leadership of the system, including accounting and revenue cycle. Prior to being appointed CFO, Mr. Sattler provided executive oversight for four ProMedica acute-care hospitals and served as president of ProMedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. Mr. Sattler earned his MBA from The University of Toledo. He is an active member and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Fred Savelsbergh. CFO of Baylor Scott & White Health (Dallas). Mr. Sav- elsbergh became CFO of Baylor Scott & White Health when it was formed in 2014. He was previously the CFO of Baylor Health Care System and provided analysis and leadership during Baylor Scott & White's formation. He has been with Baylor for his entire, 30-year plus career. Matthew Sells. CFO of Shenandoah (Iowa) Medical Center. Mr. Sells man- ages the financial activities and leads the compliance program at Shenan- doah Medical Center as its CFO. He previously served as the CFO of Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, Neb., for two and a half years. A certified public accountant, Mr. Sells also previously worked at KPMG. Robert Shapiro. Senior Vice President and CFO of North Shore-Long Is- land Jewish Health System (Great Neck, N.Y.). Mr. Shapiro, a certified pub- lic accountant, has been CFO of North Shore-LIJ since 2000, but he joined the system in 1984. During his time with North Shore-LIJ, he has served as vice president of financial operations and director of finance/assistant ad- ministrator. Mr. Shapiro is also an adjunct professor at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., and a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Roger Sharma. CFO of Citrus Valley Health Partners (Covina, Calif.). Mr. Sharma has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare finance and lead- ership. He served as senior vice president of financial operations for City of Hope before joining Citrus Valley Health Partners. In addition to earning an MBA from Pepperdine University, Mr. Sharma also completed an executive education program in healthcare delivery at Harvard Business School. Mr. Sharma is a certified public accountant. Terry Shaw. Executive Vice President, CFO and COO of Adventist Health System (Altamonte Springs, Fla.). Prior to becoming executive vice presi- dent, CFO and COO of Adventist Health System — one of the largest faith- based health systems in the nation — Mr. Shaw was the CFO of its Florida Division. He earned an MBA from the University of Central Florida and is a member of the Hospital Financial Management Association, among many other professional and service organizations. Under his oversight, Adventist brought in net revenue of nearly $7.6 billion in 2013. Steve Short. Executive Vice President and CFO of Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital. Mr. Short has been CFO of Tampa General Hospital since July 2000. Prior to joining the hospital, he was vice president of operations and CFO of the University of Louisville (Ky.) Hospital for five years. Mr. Short has an MBA from Indiana University. Jay Sial. Senior Vice President and CFO of Loyola University Health Sys- tem (Maywood, Ill.). Mr. Sial became senior vice president and CFO of Loyola University Health System in April 2012. He was previously the CFO of the University of Kentucky Healthcare Hospitals, Lexington. While at UK Healthcare Hospitals, the system achieved an operating margin ranking in the top 10th percentile of academic medical centers nationwide. He has an MBA from Virginia Tech. Raymond A. Snead, DHA. Interim CFO of South Georgia Medical Cen- ter (Valdosta, Ga.). After spending six years in banking, Dr. Snead has since spent most of his career in healthcare finance. He has been in interim execu- tive consulting services since 2007. Dr. Snead earned his Doctor of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and wrote his dissertation on the contribution of interim executives to the healthcare industry. He is an advanced member of the Georgia Healthcare Financial Management Association. Eddie Soler. Executive Vice President and CFO of Florida Hospital (Or- lando). As CFO of Florida Hospital, Mr. Soler oversees finances of one of the largest hospitals in America. Before becoming CFO, Mr. Soler was CIO of the hospital, and he has also served as senior vice president and CFO of Adventist Health System's Midwest Region. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served at Forest Lake Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist high school. Bernadette Spong. Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Rex Healthcare (Raleigh, N.C.). Ms. Spong joined Rex as CFO in 2005, and she oversees the system's financial operations and guides its strategic planning. She is a certified public accountant and earned an MBA from Elon Univer- sity. She was honored as the Distinguished MBA Alumna of the Year for Elon University in 2013.
