Senior Vice President for Finance and CFO of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia). Prior to joining Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Mr. Lubarsky gained experi- ence serving as a senior manager with Pricewater- houseCoopers. Mr. Lubarsky is a certified public accountant. Outside of his duties at TJUH, Mr. Lubarsky has served on several boards, including being treasurer of the HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Robert Lux. Vice President and CFO of Temple University Health System (Philadelphia). In his roles with Temple University Health System, Mr. Lux is responsible for financial reporting, budget- ing, cash and debt management, payroll, managed care contracting, IT, revenue cycle, financial man- agement and investment management. He has been with Temple since 1981 and served as vice president and CFO since 1996. Richard Magenheimer. CFO of Inova Health Sys- tem (Falls Church, Va.). Mr. Magenheimer has been with Inova since 1987 and has served as CFO since 1992. Prior to joining Inova, he worked for inter- national hospital management company American Medical International as finance director of West Coast operations and vice president of financial controls. He earned a master's degree in manage- ment from the State University of New York. Stacey Malakoff. Executive Vice President, Trea- surer and CFO of Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City). Ms. Malakoff joined HSS in 1990 as director of reimbursement. She assumed her cur- rent roles in 1998. Prior to joining HSS, she was an audit manager with Ernst & Young. Peter Markell. Executive Vice President of Ad- ministration and Finance, Treasurer and CFO of Partners HealthCare (Boston). In his leadership positions with Partners HealthCare, Mr. Markell oversees $10 billion in operations, $13 billion in as- sets and more than 3,000 employees. Prior to join- ing Partners HealthCare, he was a partner at Ernst & Young. Mr. Markell is a certified public accountant. Tim Maurice. CFO of University of California Davis Health System (Sacramento). Mr. Maurice has been with UC Davis since 2011. He oversees the health system's financial operations and the $1.6 bil- lion annual budget. He manages financial planning, reporting, budgeting, general accounting, opera- tional and capital planning, patient registration, billing, collections, payroll and accounts payable. Prior to UC Davis, Mr. Maurice was the vice presi- dent and CFO of St. John's Regional Medical Cen- ter in Oxnard, Calif., and St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo, Calif. Craig McKnight. Executive Vice President of Fi- nance and CFO of Phoenix Children's Hospital. Mr. McKnight has more than 30 years of health- care financial management experience. As CFO and executive vice president of finance at Phoenix Children's, he oversees all financial operations, managed care contracting, materials management, revenue cycle, bondholder relations, information management, decision support and government relations. Under his leadership, the hospital in- creased cash at the year's end to $456 million, dou- ble the cash balance prior to his joining PCH. The hospital's costs are 16 percent below the Children's Hospital Association's benchmark for average cost per case. Lori Mitchell. CFO of UW Medicine (Seattle). Ms. Mitchell also serves as the vice president of medi- cal affairs at UW Medicine. She has been with UW Medicine since 1998. Ms. Mitchell has past experi- ence as senior administrator of finance and CFO of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and regional administrator and CFO of PacifiCare Health Systems in Cypress, Calif. She is a past board member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Jennifer Mitzner. Senior Vice President and CFO of St. Joseph Hoag Health (Irvine, Calif.). Ms. Mitzner has led St. Joseph Hoag Health as senior vice president and CFO for a year. Previously, she was the senior vice president of corporate services and CFO of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, Calif. She was with Hoag Me- morial Hospital Presbyterian for 20 years. She is a certified public account and holds a master's de- gree in public administration from the University of San Francisco. Dan Moncher. Executive Vice President and CFO of Firelands Regional Medical Center (Sandusky, Ohio). Mr. Moncher has more than 30 years of ex- perience in healthcare. He has been with Firelands since 1997. Previously, he served as CFO and re- gional vice president of Mercy Hospital in Tiffin, Ohio. As CFO of Firelands, Mr. Moncher oversees financial management, debt management capital investment, revenue cycle, claims management, managed care contracting and more. He also ac- tively oversees joint venture, actuarial, insurance, banking, auditor and investment relationships. John Mordach. Senior Vice President and CFO of Rush University Medical Center (Chicago). Mr. Mordach assumed his leadership positions at Rush in 2011. He has previous experience serv- ing as CFO, treasurer and senior vice president at Loyola University Health System in Maywood, Ill., and CFO and senior vice president at Edward Health Services in Naperville, Ill.
