In for 2014-15, BIDMC was nationally ranked in cancer care by U.S. News & World Report. Boone Hospital Center (Columbia, Mo.). At the Stewart Cancer Center at Boone Hospital Center, approximately 2,000 patients are admitted yearly for primary or secondary cancer diagnoses. If hospitalization is required, the dedicated medical oncology unit houses 32 beds. The Stewart Can- cer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, is Magnet- designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and was ranked in the top 50 for cancer care by CareChex. Carolinas HealthCare System (Charlotte, N.C.). The Levine Cancer Institute is a "cancer insti- tute without walls" that connects Carolinas Health- Care System's network of programs throughout North and South Carolina. The Levine Cancer In- stitute received the 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, ACoS' highest recognition. Carolinas Medical Center is also a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Ange- les). There are more than 20 centers, programs and specialized services at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, including a women's cancer pro- gram. More cancer surgeries are performed at Ce- dars-Sinai than any other hospital in Los Angeles County. The Cancer Institute is designated by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the hospital is Magnet-designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. CHI St. Luke's Health – Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (Houston). The Cancer Center at Baylor St. Luke's Hospital was established in 1992. It is home to the St. Luke's Cancer Registry, a case-specific da- tabase with information about each patient's type of cancer that contributes to treatment planning, staging and continuity of care. The program has received accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Children's Hospital Los Angeles. In 2014, the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children's Hospital Los Angeles was ranked No. 5 in the nation for cancer care on U.S. News & World Report's Best Children's Hospitals List. Patients are seen by an interdisciplinary team, including pe- diatric oncologists and hematologists, specialized nurses, pain management experts, child develop- ment experts and art and music therapists. The Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disease is part of the Children's Oncology Group, a coop- erative of 237 pediatric research centers, and has pioneered a number of advancements in the field, including the use of gene therapy for recurring tu- mors and the development of the first pelvic bone salvage protocols for bone tumors. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Cancer Center at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is ranked No. 2 among the nation's children's hospitals for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report for 2014-15. A staff of 43 full-time pediat- ric oncologists, 54 physicians, 22 oncology nurse practitioners, 50 oncology nurses, 11 child life specialists and six social workers collaborate to ensure top quality care for patients. Christiana Care Health Services (Newark, Del.). Christiana Care Health Services' Helen F. Graham Cancer Center features state-of-the-art treatment technology, including the CyberKnife radiosurgery treatment and the da Vinci Robot. Additionally, Christiana Care's Breast Center fea- tures the only dedicated breast MRI scanner in Delaware. The Helen F. Graham Cancer Center is a designated site for the National Cancer Institute Community Cancer Centers Program. It is also accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Cen- ter. The Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children's features one of the largest pediatric blood and marrow transplantation pro- grams in the country, with more than 1,300 trans- plants performed in the past 20 years. CBDI is also one of the largest referral centers in the country and cares for approximately 3,400 children yearly. For 2014-15, Cincinnati Children's was ranked third in the country for cancer care among chil- dren's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. City of Hope (Duarte, Calif.). The Comprehen- sive Cancer Center at City of Hope is designated as such by the National Cancer Institute. In 2003, City of Hope was one of the first cancer centers in the country to offer robotic prostate surgery and its physicians have performed more than 6,000 prostate cancer procedures since. A handful of cancer drugs, including Avastin and Herceptin, were developed based on technology pioneered by City of Hope. Cleveland Clinic. More than 250 providers treat more than 14,000 cancer patients each year at Taussig Cancer Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. The Institute offers a variety of treatment options and even features the Taussig Oncology Program for Seniors, a specialized geriatric oncology clinic to help patients over age 75 manage their can- cer treatments. In 2014-15, U.S. News & World Report ranked Cleveland Clinic as No. 13 in the country for cancer care. Cone Health (Greensboro, N.C.). Known as Cone Health's flagship, Moses H. Cone Memo- rial Hospital is a leader in compassionate and quality care across its 63-acre campus. The Mo- ses H. Cone Memorial Hospital includes a 536- bed teaching hospital, an inpatient rehabilitation center, a level II trauma center and centers that specialize in pediatrics, heart and vascular, neuro- science, orthopedics and stroke. The hospital also offers complete oncology care including chemo- therapy, radiation therapy and surgical oncology. Covenant Medical Center (Saginaw, Mich.). Cov- enant HealthCare offers three specialized centers as part of its cancer care services: the Cancer Care and Infusion Therapy Center, the Breast Health Center and Saginaw Radiation Oncology Center. Covenant Medical Center is designated by the American Col- lege of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Addition- ally, the Breast Health Program was designated as an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and is accredited by the Na- tional Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center (Boston). The Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center is a collaboration between the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and is involved in nearly 700 clinical trials. U.S. News & World Report ranked Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center No. 4 in the country and No. 1 in New England for cancer care in 2014. It is also a comprehensive cancer center, as designated by the National Cancer Institute. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (Leba- non, N.H.). In 1990, the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock was designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute. The Center has 17 interdisci- plinary oncology programs and serves more than 31,000 patients annually. Approximately 135 can- cer researchers are involved in 250 active research projects at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, and the projects are supported by more than $68 mil- lion in grants each year. Duke University Hospital (Durham, N.C.). The Duke Cancer Institute is part of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, which is an alli- ance of 21 cancer centers dedicated to further on- cology research. U.S. News & World Report ranked the Duke Cancer Institute as one of the top 50 hospitals for cancer care across the country in its 2014-15 rankings. Emory University Hospital (Atlanta). Cancer care at Emory University Hospital is integrated with and coordinated through the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, Georgia's irsft and only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. U.S. News & World Report ranked Emory University's program as one of the top 50 for can- cer care across the country in its 2014-15 rankings. Evanston (Ill.) Hospital. Evanston Hospital, part of NorthShore University HealthSystem, offers cancer care services at the Kellogg Cancer Center. Evanston Hospital was named one of America's Top Quality Hospitals for cancer care in 2014 by CareChex, and the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer has continuously accred- ited NorthShore as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program since 1981. Florida Hospital Orlando. The Florida Hospi- tal Cancer Institute treats more newly diagnosed cancer patients than any health system in the southeast region of the United States. More than 8,000 cancer surgeries are performed annually at FHCI, and clinicians have been performing bone marrow transplants to treat blood-related cancers since 1996. The FHCI has several national accred- itations, such as that from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Florida Hos-
