Graymark Healthcare has announced that company has been re- named Foundation Healthcare. The corporate rebranding reflects the company's recent acquisition of Foundation Surgical Hospital Affiliates and Foundation Surgery Affiliates and a new focus on the surgical hospital and facility industry. Dayle Burton has recently become a surgery center CEO at Hos- pital Corporation of America. Previously, Mr. Burton served as a vice president of operations with Starpoint Healthcare. Medical Facilities Corporation announced its cash pay dividend for December. A cash dividend payment of Cdn$0.09375 per Com- mon Share will be payable on Jan. 15, 2014. Northstar Healthcare is set to acquire Brown Hand Center outpa- tient surgery center in Scottsdale, Ariz., for $460,000. The acquisi- tion is subject to final approval by a bankruptcy court. Nueterra recently promoted Lisa Beckerle to director of strategic planning. Prior to her current role, Ms. Beckerle served in a num- ber of leadership roles with Nueterra. Three years after filing a certificate of need application, Physi- cians Endoscopy and a group of five North Carolina physicians have received preliminary state approval for the construction of the Greater Gaston Center. For the third quarter of 2013, Surgical Care Affiliates has reported an 8 percent increase in revenue from $180.8 million to $195.1 mil- lion, excluding revenue from facilities in which the company has a non-controlling interest. Net operating revenues, including all SCA facilities, increased 18 percent in the third quarter. Private equity firm Crestview Partners has put Symbion on the market. The sale is expected to fetch as much as $800 million.
