Cambridge (Mass.) Health Alliance selected Jill Batty as CFO. Bronson LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw, Mich., announced CEO Sally Berglin's retirement. She will also step down from her position as vice president of Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare Group. Kewanee (Ill.) Hospital selected John Bowser as CFO. Ken Brough, CFO of Juneau, Ala.-based Bartlett Regional Hospital, resigned. The Hospital Corporation of America Gulf Shore Division announced the appointment of Matt Dixon as CEO for Pearland (Texas) Medical Center, scheduled to open fall 2014. Memorial Hospital of Salem County (N.J.) CEO Richard Grogan resigned. Oklahoma City-based Integris Health appointed David Hadley as CFO and managing director. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan St. James Health appointed Arnold Kimmel as CEO for its two suburban Chicago hospitals, Franciscan St. James Health-Chicago Heights and Franciscan St. James Health-Olympia Fields. Stephen Reynolds, president and CEO of Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care announced plans to retire in May 2014. Newly created, Omaha-based Alegent Creighton Health/Catholic Health Initiatives Nebraska network named Cliff Robertson, MD, senior vice president and market CEO. The Texas Hospital Association, based in Austin, named Walter "Ted" Shaw president and CEO. York, Penn.-based WellSpan Health announced Bruce Solomon as COO and executive vice president. Dale Spell, CEO of Appling HealthCare in Baxley, Ga., resigned. Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley selected Mark Bush as CEO. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System selected E.J. Kuiper as CEO and division president of the Central Illinois Division of HSHS. Anthony "Skip" Cimino, president and CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (N.J.) will step down in 2014. Cancer Treatment Centers of America, based in Zion, Ill., announced the appointment of Steve Mackin as COO. Mina Ubbing, CEO of Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio, resigned. Stuart, Fla.-based Martin Health System named Chuck Cleaver vice president and CFO. Birmingham, Ala.-based Baptist Health System appointed Keith Parrott CEO. Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, appointed Marie Vienneau CEO. Chicago-based Cook County Health and Hospitals System selected W. Peter Daniels as COO. Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health named Scott Reiner president and CEO, effective March 31. Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare selected Michael Wiechart as president and CEO. Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health announced president and CEO Mark Tolosky will step down from his position July 1, 2014. Hospital & Health System Transactions Minneapolis-based Allina Health and District One Hospital in Faribault, Minn., signed a letter of intent to discuss a partnership. Franklin Community Health Network in Farmington, Maine, moved forward with a plan to join Portland-based MaineHealth. Aspirus, based in Wausau, Wis., signed an affiliation deal with Northstar Health System in Iron River, Mich. The Marion County (Fla.) Hospital District board has unanimously approved and signed a definitive agreement under which Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates would lease Munroe Regional Medical Center, a 421-bed public hospital in Ocala, Fla. Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care signed a letter of intent with Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis., to explore a partnership. Baystate Health in Springfield, Mass., signed a letter of intent to acquire Palmer, Mass.-based Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers, an affiliate of UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, Mass. Nine Nebraska hospitals agreed to form a provider network with the aim of reducing costs. The nine independent hospitals involved are Bryan Health in Lincoln, Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont, Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Methodist Health System in Omaha and Regional West Health Services in Scottsbluff. Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens, N.C., joined Anderson, N.C.-based AnMed Health. Cascade Valley Hospitals and Clinics in Arlington, Wash., signed a letter of intent to affiliate with Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth, bringing negotiations between the two groups closer to a resolution. Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center, both based in Utica, N.Y., moved one step closer to finalizing their merger, as both organizations filed paperwork with federal regulatory agencies. Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center and Miami Children's Hospital formed an affiliation that will make JMC the primary pediatric partner for Miami Children's. LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tenn., finalized two separate hospital transactions — a joint venture with Portage Health in Hancock, Mich., and an acquisition of Bell Hospital in Ishpeming, Mich. New Hampshire regulators approved a deal in which Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H., will become part of Portland-based Main Health. Nash Health Care Systems in Rocky Mount, N.C., announced it will affiliate with Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care. Novant Health in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., agreed to a merger deal. The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved Peoria, Ill.based OSF HealthCare's acquisition of Kewanee (Ill.) Hospital, marking an end to the transaction process. Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare and Rochelle (Ill.) Community Hospital signed an agreement that would add RCH to OSF HealthCare's network.
