The Medical Center of Central Georgia also has an accredited chest pain center. The hospital recently earned a place on U.S. News & World Report's list of top 50 hospitals for heart care and cardiac surgery. Medical University Hospital of South Carolina (Charleston, S.C.). Medical University Hospital of South Carolina is the state's only full-service heart and vascular center and was home to the first heart transplant in South Carolina more than 20 years ago.
