OSF HealthCare, based in Peoria, Ill., signed a definitive agreement to
acquire Kewanee (Ill.) Hospital.
Partners HealthCare in Boston and Hallmark Health System in Melrose, Mass., signed a memorandum of understanding to create a new regional affiliation centered around coordinated care and population health.
Whittier, Calif.-based PIH Health officially acquired Downey (Calif.)
Regional Medical Center, which will now be known as PIH Health
Hospital-Downey.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., and
Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, N.J., signed a definitive merger
agreement.
The boards of directors of Rochester (N.Y.) General Health System
and Unity Health System, also based in Rochester, signed a merger agreement that will combine the two systems into one organization.
The board of directors at Somerset (Pa.) Hospital signed a nonbinding letter of intent to create a collaborative partnership with Conemaugh
Health System, a three-hospital system based in Johnstown, Pa.
Indianapolis-based St. Vincent Health and Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Ind., discontinued their management agreement, although they will
maintain clinical affiliations.
Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital and the Florida Hospital Tampa Bay
Network, a system of five Tampa-area acute-care hospitals, signed an
agreement to develop new clinical programs and services together.
Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. completed its merger with Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems, receiving all regulatory approval for the deal.
