Hastings, Neb.-based Mary Lanning Healthcare announced it named Eric A. Barber president and CEO, effective Aug. 19. MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, Ill., announced its CEO, Enrique Beckmann, MD, is resigning July 26. Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network, the integrated system owned by health insurer Highmark, laid off several executives, including Ned Laubacher, CEO of Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa., in what the system called a streamlining of operations. Mercy Health Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich., announced Bill Manns has been named its president. Uvalde (Texas) Memorial Hospital CEO Jim Buckner resigned. Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast appointed Ken Mattison, the former CEO of Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, as its CEO. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corp. of America announced the retirement of HCA North Texas Division CFO Thomas Corley, effective Dec. 31. Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services named Cindy Mayo CEO of Providence Southern Oregon Service Area. Voorhees, N.J.-based Kennedy Health System announced Joseph W. Devine will take over as president and CEO of the health system in October. Morgantown-based West Virginia United Healthcare announced that Bruce McClymonds has decided to retire as president and CEO of WVU Hospitals in May 2014. Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network announced its CEO, Joe Dorko, has accepted the role of special projects CEO at Community Health Systems Professional Services Corp. in Franklin, Tenn. Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan., announced Dave Dulny has been named CFO of Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., and Saint John Hospital, as well as Providence Place, a skilled nursing facility located on the Providence campus. Regional Hospital of Jackson (Tenn.) named Charles Miller CEO. Wentz Miller, managing director and CFO of Integris Health in Oklahoma City, will retire from his position, effective Feb. 6, 2014. UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worchester, Mass., announced Patrick Muldoon has been appointed its president, effective Aug. 26. Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems removed William Foley as CEO of the Chicago market. Saint Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., named Arthur Nizza president and CEO. University Hospital in Newark, N.J., appointed James Gonzalez as its president and CEO. Fargo, N.D.-based Sanford Health announced the appointments of Dan Olson as president and Joy Johnson as COO of the Sanford Bemidji region, which includes Sanford Bemidji (Minn.) Clinics and the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (Mass.) appointed Peter J. Healy as CEO New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., announced its executive vice president and COO Matthew Heywood is leaving his post to serve as president and CEO of Wasau, Wis.-based Aspirus, effective July 1. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Memorial Health Care System announced the appointments of James M. Hobson as CEO of the health system, Debra L. Moore as president of Memorial Hospital Hixson (Tenn.) and Ricky D. Napper as president of Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. Wilmington, Del.-based Nemours, an integrated children's health system, announced it has named Roy Proujansky, MD, chief executive of Nemours' Delaware Valley operations and Robert Bridges chief executive of Nemours' Florida operations. James Scoggin Jr., president of Hospital Corp. of America's North Texas Division in Dallas, will retire from his post, effective Oct. 1. Radnor, Pa.-based Jefferson Health System's president and CEO Joseph T. Sebastianelli announced he will leave at the end of the year. UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Ala., announced Reid F. Jones will serve in the newly created role of COO. Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System announced James H. Strong has been appointed as its interim CFO. Michael Kaiser, MD, interim CEO of Baton Rouge, La.-based LSU Health Care Services Division, announced he is resigning. Register Today! The changes include Catherine Keating, MD, becoming the associate chief of staff responsible for implementing the clinical integration model across Cleveland Clinic and the new associate chief of staff for the Quality Alliance/Community Physician Partnership; Brian Donley, MD, becoming the chief of Regional Hospitals Medical Affairs and Quality and vice president of Regional Hospitals in the Regional Executive Administration; Donald Malone, MD, becoming president of Lutheran Hospital; Brian Harte, MD, becoming president of Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio; Robert Juhasz, DO, becoming as president of South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio; Jan Murphy becoming COO of Sheikh Kalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Neil Smith, DO, becoming president of Fairview Hospital in Cleveland; and J.
