Orthopedics has the largest market share out of ASC specialties, in part due to broader coverage and new surgery-related technologies. e most common ownership type is ASCs owned by physicians, and the Southeast has the largest market share out of any region. e market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 6% from 2024, the report said. n Pennsylvania medical office building sold for $10.5M By Ariana Portalatin Sila Realty Trust recently acquired a medical outpatient building in Reading, Pa., for $10.5 million. The two-story, 30,000-square-foot building is located on the campus of a 144-bed Tower Behavioral Health center constructed in 2020, according to a May 22 news release. Sila Realty Trust is a healthcare-focused real estate investment trust that owns more than 130 properties in 64 markets across the U.S. n Massachusetts medical office building sells for $24M By Claire Wallace A medical office building in Wellesley, Mass., has sold for $24.3 million, according to a June 21 report from ConnectCRE. The property is fully leased to 22 tenants, including Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham and Burlington, Mass.-based Tufts Medicine, which jointly hold 67,264 square feet of space and provide various medical specialties. The property was sold to a joint venture between Sendero Capital and TPG Angelo Gordon, which launched a year ago. n
