The agency pointed to the fact Ms. Faulkner worked her way up from being employed at a physician practice affiliated with Madison-based University of Wisconsin to building an EHR company that serves more than 250 million patients from institutions such as Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine. And she did so, the March 13 article noted, building all of the EHR software in-house and not taking venture capital or making acquisitions. "Learning how to run a business takes time and does not happen overnight," the agency wrote. "The key is to start something, gain experience and take everything as a learning opportunity." C2 Communications made the list in honor of March being Women's History Month. n
