Methodist Hospital for Surgery has been named one of the top 100 places to work by e Dallas Morning News, has received the Blue Cross Blue Shield's Center Distinction for spine and knee/hip replacement and has received multiple five-star quality ratings from CMS. It is also an Orthopedic Center of Excellence. e hospital was formed as a joint venture between local surgeons, Dallas-based Methodist Health System and ValueHealth to create a space for world class spine and orthopedic treatment. e hospital also offers ear, nose and throat; podiatry; wound care; hyperbaric therapy; imaging and physical therapy. "is achievement is a direct result of the commitment to excellence that our physicians and staff have made in providing function-restoring, life-enhancing care every single day." n Penn Highlands Healthcare adds 2 new orthopedic surgeons By Claire Wallace C learfield, Pa.-based Penn Highlands Healthcare has added two new board-certified orthopedic surgeons, David Sheba, DO, and Justin Sheba, DO, to its medical staff, according to a Feb. 6 report from e Daily Courier. e physicians will provide services at Penn Highlands' Uniontown and Belle Vernon, Pa., locations. Dr. David Sheba has 20 years of orthopedic experience, specializing in joint reconstructive surgery and joint replacements. Dr. Justin Sheba has 16 years of orthopedic experience, specializing in trauma, joint replacements and arthroscopy. Alongside the two physicians, Penn Highlands will also welcome physician assistant Eric Pritts. Mr. Pritts has experience in treating bone and joint conditions and providing an integrated approach to orthopedic care and treatment. n Nebraska spine practice opens satellite location By Carly Behm J . Brian Gill, MD, will see patients at Omaha-based Nebraska Spine + Pain Center's satellite office in South Sioux City, Neb. The practice holds clinics on the second Friday of each month at the location, according to a Feb. 1 news release shared with Becker's. Dr. Gill will offer consultations for residents at the clinic. His specialties include total disc replacement, spinal fusion, degenerative diseases and spinal deformity. n Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma names CEO By Carly Behm Thomas Fondren is the new CEO of Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma in Tulsa, the practice said Feb. 6. Mr. Fondren previously served as senior vice president of physician services and chief development officer at Healthcare Partners Investments, according to a news release shared with Becker's. He also worked as area vice presidentt at CorVel Healthcare corporation where he managed care operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma has 22 physicians and four clinics throughout the region. n
