Wilmington Health ASC has five NAPA physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists. Ascend Vision will provide administrative services to the company's practices and the Lakeside Surgery Center, ac- cording to an Aug. 16 news release from Chicago Pacific. Justin Simoncini will serve as CEO, and each practice un- der the Ascend Vision partnership will still be owned by the providers at each location. n Ground broken for Wisconsin joint-venture clinic, orthopedic ASC By Marcus Robertson A ltoona, Wis.-based Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and its partner, physician- owned management and development company Surgical Management Professionals, are building a new clinic and ASC, The Chronotype reported Aug. 23. The CedarCrest Surgery Center will be a more than 30,000-square-foot facility in Rice Lake, the report said. All of Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine's subspecialists will perform procedures at the new ASC. Groundbreaking took place Aug. 22, and the center is expected to open in summer 2023. n Allina Health, GI practice break ground on clinic spanning 100K square feet By Marcus Robertson G astroenterology group MNGI Digestive Health and Allina Health, both based in Minneapolis, broke ground on a joint venture multispecialty clinic, ASC and endoscopy center, REJournals reported June 30. The Lakeville (Minn.) Specialty Center will span 100,500 square feet, with Allina leasing 78,500 square feet. MNGI Digestive will lease the remaining 22,000 square feet for a clinic and an endoscopy center, the report said. The center will offer services including gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology and women's health, the report said. It is expected to open in fall 2023. n Capitol Pain Institute, private equity firm join forces to create physician-led pain management platform By Riz Hatton A n affiliate of Capitol Pain Institute, an interventional pain management provider, and Iron Path Capital, a private equity firm, partnered to create a physician-led consolidation platform. Capitol Pain Institute plans to build a national platform by affiliating with independent pain management practices and building new clinics. e goal of the platform is to support corporate functions at affiliated practices, according to a June 23 news release. Capitol Pain Institute has ASCs and clinics throughout Texas, Ohio and Kentucky. In addition to interventional pain management, the provider offers spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, interspinous stabilization and fixation and posterior SI joint fusion. is transaction is Iron Path Capital's third platform investment since its founding in 2021. n
