20 JOINT VENTURES Compass Surgical Partners, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital partner to build new ASC By Riz Hatton R aleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners joined with Greenville, S.C.-based Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and local physicians to build an ASC. Millennium Surgery Center will be on St. Francis's Millennium cam- pus, according to a June 27 news release. e ASC will be 20,000 square feet and have six operating rooms and two procedure rooms. It will offer orthopedic, spine and ENT services as well as robotic outpatient joint procedures. Millennium Surgery Center is planned to open in 2024 and will be accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. n Centura Mercy Hospital, USPI partner to build Colorado ASC By Riz Hatton D urango, Colo.-based Centura Mercy Hospital has partnered with Dallas-based United Surgical Part- ners International and local physicians to build a new surgery center. Three Springs Surgery Center will be located in Durango. It is expected to be 13,500 square feet with three operat- ing rooms and two procedure rooms, according to a July 6 news release. The ASC will offer spine, orthopedics, pain, podiatry, gas- trointestinal and urology services. Construction for the center is expected to begin this year and be completed in 2024, the release said. n USPI building joint venture ASC with physician investors in San Antonio By Marcus Robertson D allas-based United Surgical Partners International, a Tenet Healthcare subsidiary, is building a medi- cal office building and ASC in partnership with a group of physician investors, San Antonio Business Jour- nal reported June 20. The 52,000-square-foot Schertz, Texas, building will house a 12,000-square-foot ASC, the report said. The project is expected to be completed in mid-2023. In addition to the ASC, San Antonio-based Baptist Medical Network is slated as an initial tenant. n $12M medical office building with heart, orthopedic centers to open in North Carolina By Riz Hatton N ovant Health is constructing a $12 million medical office building on its Brunswick County campus in Bolivia, N.C., WilmingtonBiz reported June 3. The building will be two stories and 34,000 square feet. Its tenants will include Cape Fear Heart Associates, Oceans- ide Family Medicine, Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Novant Health Cardiac Rehab, Novant Health Surgical Associates & Plastics and an outpatient infusion space, according to the report. The building is expected to open in spring 2023. n Ground broken for 100K- SF joint venture ASC, endoscopy center By Marcus Robertson G astroenterology group MNGI Digestive Health and Allina Health, both based in Minneapolis, broke ground on a joint venture multispecialty clinic, ASC and endoscopy center, REJournals reported June 30. The Lakeville (Minn.) Specialty Center will span 100,500 square feet, with Allina leasing 78,500 square feet. MNGI Digestive will lease the remaining 22,000 square feet for a clinic and an endoscopy center, the report said. The center will offer services including gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology and women's health, the report said. It is expected to open in fall 2023. n
