Robbinsdale, Minn.-based North Memorial
Health will take full ownership of Maple Grove
(Minn.) Hospital by purchasing the final 25
percent stake from Minneapolis, Minn.-based
Fairview Health Services.
Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health-
care and Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health
have completed their merger aer the Colora-
do attorney general's office signed off on the
deal March 31.
Highlands Hospital in Connellsville, Pa., of-
ficially joined DuBois, Pa.-based Penn High-
lands Healthcare April 1 aer receiving regu-
latory approvals, becoming the system's eighth
hospital.
Jennings (La.) American Legion Hospital
joined New Orleans-based Ochsner Health on
April 1.
MyMichigan Health in Midland has acquired
War Memorial Hospital, which was renamed
MyMichigan Medical Center Sault.
Morgantown, W.Va.-based Mon Health Sys-
tem and Chaleston, W.Va.-based CAMC
Health System signed a letter of intent to create
a single new system named Vandalia Health.
Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health
signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire
two hospitals from Brentwood, Tenn.-based
LifePoint Health: Colorado Plains Medical
Center in Fort Morgan and Western Plains
Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kan.
New York City-based NYU Langone Health
and East Patchogue, N.Y.-based Long Island
Community Hospital made their affiliation of-
ficial March 2. e deal makes NYU Langone
the active parent of Long Island Community
Hospital.
Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Chil-
dren's Hospital has taken over ownership of
Toledo, Ohio-based Mercy Health-Children's
Hospital, which will be named Nationwide
Children's Hospital-Toledo.
University Health Care System, a three-hos-
pital system in Augusta, Ga., officially joined
Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare on March
1. Piedmont now comprises 19 hospitals.
Baltimore-based University of Maryland
Medical System announced March 21 that it
has expanded its partnership with Oakland,
Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente. Under the
expanded partnership, UM St. Joseph Medical
Center in Towson, Md., and UM Capital Re-
gion Medical Center in Largo, Md., have been
designated Kaiser hospitals.
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health
Systems has entered into a definitive agree-
ment to transfer the lease of AllianceHealth
Seminole (Okla.) to SSM Health Oklahoma.
Exeter (N.H.) Health Resources has signed a
letter of intent to explore joining Cambridge
Mass.-based Beth Israel Lahey Health.
Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health
System has purchased Immediate Care's
seven urgent care locations from CentraState
Healthcare System.
San Antonio-based University Health has en-
tered a joint venture with post-acute health-
care company PAM Health in San Antonio to
help operate three rehabilitation hospitals.
Texas turnaround firm Canyon Atlantic Part-
ners failed to post a $1 million bond required
by a Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas
judge to purchase two closed hospitals from
West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health. e
judge had ordered Tower Health to restart the
sale of the hospitals Feb. 14.
A bankruptcy judge gave the green light to
Pajaro Valley Healthcare District Project's bid
to purchase Watsonville (Calif.) Community
