Rex Jones is stepping down from his role as CEO of Magnolia (Ark.) Regional Medical Center. Tommy Inzina, president and CEO of BayCare, will retire at the end of this year. Bill Wing, president and chief strategy officer of Roseville, Calif.-based Adven- tist Health, is stepping down. Gary Shaw, president and CEO of Nan- tucket (Mass.) Cottage Hospital, is re- signing, effective Feb. 28. Salem (Mo.) Memorial District Hospi- tal's board of trustees voted Feb. 3 to terminate Kasey Lucas as CEO, and Bill May, who is affiliated with Rural Hospital Group, was named interim CEO. Quincy, Ill.-based Blessing Health Sys- tem tapped Brian Canfield as COO. Richard Lofgren, MD, will leave his posi- tion as president and CEO of UC Health in Cincinnati to helm OU Health, an aca- demic health system in Oklahoma. Sentara Healthcare President and CEO Howard Kern, who has led the Norfolk, Va.-based system since 2016, will retire by the end of this year. Suresh Gunasekaran is stepping down as CEO of Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics. He will join UC San Francisco Health as president and CEO in March. Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Mercy Medi- cal Center President and CEO Timothy Charles is retiring at the end of the year. Benjamin Richaud left his role as CEO of Merit Health River Region, a hospital in Vicksburg, Miss., at the end of January. Kevin Benson resigned as CFO of Bart- lett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska. Todd Campbell stepped down as COO of Huntington, W.Va.-based St. Mary's Medical Center on Jan. 21. Lovelace Health System chose COO Janelle Raborn as the successor to re- tiring CEO Ron Stern, the Albuquerque, N.M.-based organization said. Angela Swearingen, vice president of finance and CFO at Huntington, W.Va.-based St. Mary's Medical Center, was named the next COO. David Cauble stepped down as exec- utive vice president and CFO of Chil- dren's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He has been named CEO of Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, Ore. David Keith stepped down from his role as CEO of McAlester (Okla.) Regional Health Center in January and is consid- ering running for state office. Edmundo CastaƱeda began serving as executive vice president and COO of Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hos- pital System in January after stepping down as president and CEO of Sacra- mento, Calif.-based Mercy General Hos- pital and Woodland (Calif.) Memorial Hospital. Kevin Spiegel was appointed CEO of Springfield, Pa.-based Crozer Health. Brittany Lavis was named group CEO of the Detroit Medical Center and Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's Detroit market. Kimberly Hunter, DNP, RN, was named interim CEO of Iowa City-based Univer- sity of Iowa Hospital & Clinics. Skip Gjolberg was appointed inter- im CEO of Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va. Chris Mitchell was named CEO of Pied- mont Medical Center-Fort Mill (S.C.). Dan Moncher retired from his role as CFO of Sandusky, Ohio-based Firelands Health. Ray Leggett is retiring in June from his role as president and CEO of New Bern, N.C.-based CarolinaEast Health System. Todd Hofheins was named COO of Ros- eville, Calif.-based Adventist Health. John Beaman was named CFO of Rose- ville, Calif.-based Adventist Health. Keith Hovan was removed from his po- sition as president and CEO of New Be- ford, Mass.-based Southcoast Health. Emily Blomberg has been appointed COO for University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. John Brumsted, MD, will retire as presi- dent and CEO of University of Vermont Health Network. Sarah Gilbert was named COO and as- sistant vice president of Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, Fla. Chris Mitchell has been appointed CEO of Piedmont Medical Center-Fort Mill (S.C.). Alejandro Romero was named CEO of Poinciana Medical Center in Kissimmee, Fla. Chris Roty has been appointed presi- dent of Baptist Health Lexington (Ky.). Robert Tyk will join Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska as interim CFO. Scott Wagner, MD, has been appoint- ed president of ,Vineland, N.J.-based Inspira Medical Group. Ann Madden Rice will retire from her roles as senior vice president of Allina Health Operations and president of Ab- bott Northwestern Hospital, both in Min- neapolis, in May 2022. Latonya Brown has been promoted to the role of CFO for Chapel Hill, N.C.- based UNC Hospitals. Cheryl Matejka was named senior vice president and CFO for St. Louis-based Mercy. Lisa Wine was named CFO of Goshen (Ind.) Health. Gena Bravo, MSN, has been appointed president and CEO of Woodland (Calif.) Memorial Hospital. Richard Chesnos will retire from his role as senior vice president and CFO of Pittsburgh-based St. Clair Health. Ryan DeWeese will return to Spotsyl- vania (Va.) Regional Medical Center as CEO. E.J. Kuiper was appointed CEO of Omaha, Neb.-based CHI Health and president of Chicago-based Common- Spirit Health's Midwest division.
