Here are eight fast facts on three of its executives: Mary Rodts, DNP, CEO and COO 1. Dr. Rodts was named COO of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in November 2011, and she's been with the company since De- cember 2006. Before that, she was a nurse practitioner and practice administrator at Rush's now-defunct Orthopaedics & Scolio- sis office for 31 years, from July 1975 to De- cember 2006. 2. She is a professor at Rush University's Col- lege of Nursing and editor of the journal Or- thopaedic Nursing. 3. Dr. Rodts earned her bachelor's in nursing from Loyola University Chicago, her master's and doctoral degrees from Chicago-based Rush University, and her master's degree in business administration from South Bend, Ind.-based University of Notre Dame. Renée Glanzman, chief compliance officer and director of patient access 4. Ms. Glanzman has occupied her role as the CCO for Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush for seven years. She was named the director of patient access in April 2017 and has been with Rush in a professional capacity since October 2011. 5. She earned her bachelor's degree in com- munity health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2010 and her master's degree in health systems management from Rush University in 2013. Ed Dufour, chief technology officer 6. Mr. Dufour has been the CTO for Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush for nearly five years, having been appointed in January 2017. 7. He previously served for one year as CIO for insurer MyCare Chicago and for 15 years as the director of information services at El- mhurst (Ill.) Memorial Healthcare. 8. Mr. Dufour earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Lisle, Ill.-based Bene- dictine University in 1990. n IMAC Holdings acquires Louisiana ortho practice By Carly Behm I MAC Holdings acquired Louisiana Orthopae- dic & Sports Rehab Institute in Baton Rouge, according to an Oct. 4 news release. The transaction was completed Oct. 1 for an un- disclosed combination of cash and common stock. Louisiana Orthopaedic & Sports Rehab Institute was founded by Allen Johnston, MD, in 1988. Dr. Johnston will continue to see patients and join IMAC as medical director. The Des Plaines-based practice now has 162 physicians, accord- ing to its website. The four surgeons who most recently joined the practice: 1. Jacob Babu, MD, spine and orthopedic trauma surgeon 2. William Mosenthal, MD, spine surgeon 3. Alexander Crespo, MD, orthopedic trauma surgeon 4.
