Jefferson Health and Einstein Healthcare
Network, both in Philadelphia, have finalized
their merger. e combination of the organi-
zations brings together two academic medical
centers and creates an integrated 18-hospital
system with more than 50 outpatient and
urgent care locations.
South Bend, Ind.-based Beacon Health Sys-
tem finalized an agreement to buy ree
Rivers (Mich.) Health, a nonprofit communi-
ty hospital with 60 beds.
Monongahela Valley Hospital, a 200-bed
facility in Wickerham Manor-Fisher, Pa.,
joined DuBois, Pa.-based Penn Highlands
Healthcare.
Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth
finalized an acquisition of a 230-bed Geor-
gia hospital and its related businesses from
Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
Highlands Medical Center, a 170-bed hospital
in Scottsboro, Ala., joined Huntsville (Ala.)
Hospital Health System.
Lexington, Ky.-based Appalachian Regional
Healthcare plans to acquire Paul B. Hall Re-
gional Medical Center, a 72-bed hospital in
Paintsville, Ky.
Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare
plans to acquire five Utah hospitals from Dal-
las-based Steward Health Care.
Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health
plans to sell its 49-bed hospital in William-
ston, N.C., to Dallas-based Affinity Health
Partners.
Salt Lake City-based Intermountain
Healthcare and Broomfield, Colo.-based
SCL Health have signed a letter of in-
tent to merge into a 33-hospital system.
Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare
plans to sell off 47 home health locations, hos-
pices and therapy agencies across 22 states to
Lafayette, La.-based LHC Group.
Augusta, Ga.-based University Health Care
System's board approved its plan to join At-
lanta-based Piedmont Healthcare.
Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University
HealthSystem and Naperville, Ill.-based Ed-
ward-Elmhurst Health plan to merge under a
new parent organization.
UVM Health Network became the sole parent
company of OneCare Vermont, a statewide
ACO focused on Vermont's all-payer model.
Blue Ridge HealthCare, based in Morgan-
ton, N.C., and Chapel Hill, N.C.-based
UNC Health finalized their Management
