30 GASTROENTEROLOGY CRH Medical moves into Connecticut with new acquisition By Carly Behm CRH Medical has completed its fourth acquisition this year. The company has an 85 percent stake in New England Anesthesia Associ- ates, which provides services to an ASC in Guilford, Conn., according to a May 10 news release. The acquisition adds 17 practitioners to CRH's team and gives the company a footprint in 16 states. CRH Medical is a subsidiary of Well Health. It provides anesthesia services to gastroenterology ASCs. n United Digestive partners with Georgia practice By Carly Behm Atlanta-based practice management organization United Digestive part- nered with East Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates. East Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates was founded in 1981 and offers diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology services, according to a May 4 news release. It has four clinics and two endoscopy centers. The practice will retain its clinical independence while having access to United Digestive's suite of management services. n Physician-owned Arkansas GI practice finishes $35M facility with ASCs By Patsy Newitt A $35 million medical plaza housing Little Rock, Ark.-based Premier Gastroenterology has been completed, according to a May 4 Linke- dIn post by Premier's founder and CEO William Green. The facility is located in a former Kmart store. Premier Gastroenterology will occupy around 45,000 square feet of the space in the building for clinical and ambulatory surgical space. The 100,000-square-foot plaza will provide new medical, clinical and sur- gery facilities for several medical groups. n 11 states projected to have the most new colon, rectum cancer cases in 2021 By Laura Dyrda T he American Cancer Society esti- mates 11 states will have more than 4,000 new colon and rectum cancer cases this year, according to its "Cancer Facts & Figures 2021" report. e organization estimates there will be 149,500 new cases of colon and rectum cancer across the U.S. in 2021.
