74 ORTHOPEDICS US Orthopaedic Partners acquires 2 Mississippi practices By Eric Oliver U .S. Orthopaedic Partners acquired Jackson Anesthesia Pain Centers and Oxford Ortho- paedics and Sports Medicine, the platform announced March 2. Jackson (Miss.) Anesthesia Pain Center and Oxford (Miss.) Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine combine to provide care for musculoskeletal disorders and chronic disease management. The practice strengthens U.S. Orthopaedic Partners' base in the southeastern U.S. Cooper Terry, MD, founder of Oxford Orthopaedics, said the practice joined the platform to benefit from the size and scale it provides. He said, "We are a smaller group by size, but joining the USOP platform will afford us the same long-term benefits and oppor- tunities that having size and scale provides." U.S. Orthopaedic Partners was formed in October 2020 after FFL Partners invested in Mississippi Sports Medicine in Jackson. n Rothman Orthopaedic Institute opens flagship New York office By Alan Condon Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute opened its flagship office in New York City. The 20,000-square-foot office in Manhattan is modeled after Rothman's large offices in Philadelphia and New Jersey, ac- cording to a March 16 news release. It has 15 exam rooms, orthotics, an injection suite, X-rays and an area for physical and hand therapy.
