Surgimate Practice is a cloud application that connects schedulers, surgeons, insurance and billing departments through a single workflow. Previously, nine Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics divi- sions used the platform. An increase in patients canceling and rescheduling surgeries during the COVID-19 pandem- ic led the practice to expand the platform to all divisions. "Our continued growth necessitated a platform that would help us scale our surgical services organization," Richard Rob- inson, the practice's chief operating officer, said in a March 2 news release. "The Surgimate platform has proven its abil- ity to deliver great efficiency and standardized data sets to CAO; we are excited to roll it out across the organization." Founded in 2013 by more than 20 independent practices, CAO now has more than 160 physicians and 60 offices in the tri-state area. n
